Lawyer John Deaton posted this for damages from the SEC

    Posted: 01 Jan 2021 04:37 PM PST

John E Deaton from Deaton Law Firm posted this up on his twitter. It is a good read and captures a lot of our thoughts on how the SEC handled this situation. I'm not a lawyer, so I am not exactly sure what this is pursuing, but it seems he wants any money earned by the SEC to go to repairing damages caused by the SEC. Correct me if I am wrong.

Coinmetro confirms they are not going to delist or suspend XRP unless absolutely necessary in the future (Trading possible also for US Citizens)

    Posted: 01 Jan 2021 09:11 AM PST

Coinmetro CEO confirmed today in his youtube AMA that they will not delist or suspend XRP like most other exchanges have done. Trading will remain possible for everyone, including US citizens. You can watch the AMA here (question about XRP @10:12): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VuFlNPDKJOQ

In case you are not familiar with Coinmetro, it is a new and rapidly growing CEX based in Europe. It is fully compliant and regulated both in Europe and the US, and they offer instant USD/EUR/GBP/AUD/SEK fiat on and off ramps. Some other features include:

    • 24/7 live support

    • Lowest trading fees in the industry (makers can get paid to trade)

    • Margin and Copy Trading

    • Tokenised Securities platform

    • Weekly AMA's with the CEO, not to mention he is always on telegram and will respond with a voice message to any question you ask him in the chat

    • Full transparency in everything they do

    • KYC done in under 10 minutes normally

Personally I have been using Coinmetro exclusively for a year or so. Having tried most of the exchanges out there, I can honestly say this is the one I like the best.

For anyone looking for a safe place to keep trading XRP, I would highly recommend checking it out!

EDIT: NY, Hawaii and Washington residents cannot yet open an account there.

If you decide to open an account on Coinmetro, feel free to DM me for a ref link for some free money for both of us.

Which coins are vulnerable like Ripple to SEC targeting?

    Posted: 01 Jan 2021 09:54 PM PST

My understanding is that the SEC targeted Ripple because they feel it's a security rather than a currency. XRP wasn't registered as a security so the SEC took action. Is that right?

What other coins are in a similar situation?

    Is Flare next XRP?

    Posted: 01 Jan 2021 03:30 AM PST

I just heard there is possibility that Ripple will use Flare as plan B if they lose the case? Just dump the XRP and use Flare instead...make sense?

It's kinda wierd how this all happened after airdrop.
