Logging and record keeping script Posted: 04 Jan 2021 08:22 AM PST Looking to get into ETH mining and want to be able to keep good records. Is it possible to log mining and when ETH is awarded? Ideally I want to be able to script logging fair market value each day. Since it's a CMD tool it's possible to log to a file. I just don't know yet what the log is going to look like and if automating records will be possible. [link] [comments]
Posted: 04 Jan 2021 08:44 AM PST I'm looking at starting a small mining company, but in my country of Sweden that seems to necessitate a whole lot of extra costs and checks (for fear of money laundering, I believe). Is there a service where I could bypass this by getting paid directly in Swedish kronor, rather than keeping whatever I mined? I believe it has to be SEK, as Euros would result in the same problem. Very appreciative of any help. [link] [comments]

Powering Dual PSUs from different lines? Posted: 03 Jan 2021 10:39 PM PST Hey, I have a rig that uses two power supplies, but the room consumes so much power (due to some other computers in the room) that the fuse for the room goes out regularly and I have to manually restart it. My question is that can each power supply be powered by a different power line (ie. from a different room) Still, each riser and gpu pair would be powered by the same power supply. And the PSUs are paired by a 24-pin splitter adapter from the motherboard. [link] [comments]

Posted: 03 Jan 2021 08:48 PM PST I've been having my PC with an RTX 3070 mine whenever my PC goes into standby for the past month or so. I still have my old RX 580 and I'm wondering if it would be worth getting it setup in my case to add to the mining load? My motherboard only has extra PCIE x4 slots, so I'd have to get an x4 to x16 adapter. Would this make the extra card worthless to run? Also wondering how I'd set this up to make sure that when I'm using my PC for gaming or work it wouldn't hinder that performance? Thanks! [link] [comments]
Computer runs much slower with PhoenixMiner in the background than Claymore used to Posted: 03 Jan 2021 07:07 PM PST I like to turn my mining software on when I know that I'll be doing lighter tasks on my computer. When I was using Claymore just before it croaked, I was easily able to do simple things like word processing, scrolling through reddit, etc. without losing more than 1 or 2 MH according to what Claymore was reporting. After switching to PhoenixMiner the other day I noticed that my PC runs way slower with the miner running in the background to the point of being unusable and the hashrate wasn't significantly different. Does anybody have experience with something like this and is there a fix you are aware of? Specs: Gigabyte OC 5700XT, no tuning, driver 20.9.1 [link] [comments]
Posted: 03 Jan 2021 01:36 PM PST What size psu should I use to power 2 rtx 3060ti gpus? Im running one right now with a ryzen 7 on an msi B550 gaming plus and a 450w psu Was considering adding a second card (if I can get my hands on it) but am unsure of what size psu I would need. Would my 450w be fine? [link] [comments]
Troubleshooting card behaviour Posted: 03 Jan 2021 04:24 PM PST Hi all, I have a card that is behaving in an interesting way while setting up another rig and I need help as to what to look into next before I give in to the silicon lottery defeat. Card: MSI RX 580 8Gb Armor OC Samsung memory Issue: Stock bios no tuning hash rate 24.5 m/hs Stock Bios with tuning hash rate 27.999 m/hs Modded bios hash rate no tuning 27.5 m/hs Modded bios with tuning hash rate 27.8 m/hs The tune that I run is: Core: 1130 Voltage: 850 Memory: 2100 Timing off/level 1 Voltage: 850 Temps constant at 62 76w at the wall no adjustment to power. Any advice for this card with what to change/look at next to get it closer to 30? Every other card I used, even an identical one got over 29.5 no problem. I use Phoenix miner for eth, test and tune first on my main computer before adding to a rig and follow up test and tune in the rig. [link] [comments]
Using risers on pcie x 1 slots? Posted: 03 Jan 2021 12:05 PM PST I'm new to this and am currently mining on a 3080 in my gaming PC. My motherboard (MSI B550M PRO-VDH) has 2 empty PCIE X 1 slots. Could I tap into those to run 2 more GPUs for mining? I'm aware I would probably need to upgrade my PSU depending on the power draw, but other than that would it work? Currently just have a corsair rm750x. Would love to get like 2x 3060Ti when(if) theyre ever more available. [link] [comments]
About 11 cents electricity cost ..can mining still be profitable? Posted: 03 Jan 2021 04:07 PM PST I am asking about asic mining. Flashed 5600xt pulse to the powercolor mod, second untoched bios is corrupted? Posted: 03 Jan 2021 11:09 AM PST So for what i recall i replaced the silent bios with the red panda mining powercolor bios wich comes unlocked and strap modded, 43mhash with ease since i got it a week ago ,i noticed that in games the core does not boost that mutch so i wanted to try the stock gaming bios but the card does not boot, why did the untouched second bios got corrupted? Should i just try to flash my backup rom into it?. Powercolor bios seems to be capped at 150w, i did not have luck fiddling with morepowertool [link] [comments] |
