Posted: 31 Jan 2021 07:02 AM PST So I know this would be a surprise to everyone, since most are curious to know how much hashing power can a A100 deal with. Let's say I have a100 servers in place (mostly it's for my company but I'm Intrested to allocate some gpu for mining purpose) how would I go about doing it? I had one of my employees tried to install trex and etherminer but getting many errors. We using the Ubuntu 20.1 (I can't change os and it's all command line with no GUI ) , we installed the latest cuda drives. But still no luck. If it was windows server I can handle myself since I have tried 32gb v100s which produced about 89 mh/s with 2 it averaged around 178mh/s [link] [comments]

Posted: 30 Jan 2021 06:25 PM PST Im so happy and relieved! According to the calculations, my current mining rigs (3 5600xt and 4 5700xt) have now mined past their cost basis. I started these up on October 12 (so 3.5 months), which is far quicker than I initially expected thanks to the current price of ethereum. And its far better than my previous 570/580 rigs which took about 2 years thanks to my bad timing and my inefficient clock/voltage settings. Current rigs getting a total of 356.7mh/s on 1033 watts using Phoenix/Nanopool. I know its not a lot compared to some of you but Im happy to finally be making money in this business. 💰 💰 👏 [link] [comments]

How we can save mining on ETH! Posted: 31 Jan 2021 08:32 AM PST Basically, watch my video and promote it. What the video says: Big miners are bad, so let's incorporate PoS into PoW so that miners have to put up collateral to mine! The longer the collateral stays in the wallets, the easier it becomes to identify them and burn their collateral. [link] [comments]
i lookig for a tutorial about gpu mining overclock! Posted: 31 Jan 2021 08:09 AM PST hi Does anyone have a tutorial about gpu mining overclock? i dont know for each alghoritme parameter(memclock, coreclock, power limit and...)how much is? i need gpu overclocking tutorial [link] [comments]
Posted: 31 Jan 2021 07:39 AM PST I have a few questions, can someone tell me all ways and adapters and things that can be used to power a rx5700, by all ways i mean powering the gpu and riser from different psu connectors, like the extra cpu one. And do i have to have power to both 6 and 8 pin? Can i power the riser and gpu from the same psu cable? Any tips related to powering gpu and risers are appreciated! [link] [comments]

Zotac Trinity RTX 3080 Thermal Pad Advice/Guide? Posted: 30 Jan 2021 11:37 PM PST Hey everyone, I just began mining to heat my room while earning a couple bucks when not gaming. Anyways, I have seen a lot about the thermal pads in general on the RTX 3080, but haven't found a good video on the Zotac 3080 Trinity yet. Does anyone know of a good teardown guide/recommended thermal pads for this card? Haven't opened up a GPU before and am worried about breaking something, but I also don't want to damage the card by overheating the memory. As I was writing this post I actually found these teardown pictures of from TechPowerUp. Would still appreciate anyone's insight or resources on this card for thermal pad replacement/a more in depth guide. Thank you! [link] [comments]
What is the best coin to mine with some R9 290 4GB? Posted: 30 Jan 2021 06:14 PM PST Hey there. I have four(4) R9 290 4GB that have been sitting unused for about 4 years now. They are some left overs from a mining rig I used to run. Id like to put them back to use. I've been out of the crypto world for 2-3 years now and I feel like my knowledge is so far behind lol. Anyway, I know they are power hungry cards but my electricity is free so that is of no concern. So what is the best coin to mine with these old cards? I have them mining ETC right now and they're getting about 25.5mh/s each. Is this the best they'll ever do or is there a coin that could be more profitable? Thanks! [link] [comments]

Posted: 30 Jan 2021 08:31 PM PST I have a rig with three GPUS:
When I open Afterburner 4.6.2, it shows five cards (4 5600XTs and a 1660 Super). Fine, I guess 5600XT shows up twice. So I start mining just one card and watch the temperatures. One of the four 5600XTs shows a temperature increase. I switch mining to the other 5600XT, and the other three show a temperature increase (all match). Ok, so I guess the ROG shows as three 5600XT. So I move on with overclocking... I started to reduce the "Power Limit" and fans of one of the 5600XT stopped. This happens even if I set ALL of the 5600XT to have fans at 50%. Ugg. I'm not feeling great about After Burner on this one. Thus, a few questions:

do the RTX 3060 Ti and RTX 3070 have the memory overheat problem like the RTX 3080 and RTX 3090? Posted: 30 Jan 2021 01:22 PM PST I saw a lot of posts about RTX 3080 and RTX 3090 that have memory overheat problem and have to throttle down. Given that they have the GDDR6X Memory. The RTX 3060Ti and RTX 3070 have GDDR6, does anyone ever have or hear about memory overheat problem with these cards? [link] [comments]
Posted: 30 Jan 2021 12:00 PM PST The wiki mentions a monthly thread for simple questions but I cannot find it? Am I just blind or does it really not exist? My question would have been what is the consensus on single GPU mining? I can only afford one 3080, so is it better to forget it unless I can get a whole farm? [link] [comments]
Posted: 30 Jan 2021 06:37 PM PST Would it be best to leave fans for my mining GPU's at a set speed or allow it to be manage automatically on its own? I'm going back and forth on this myself. But by having a set speed the fans will always be moving and have less wear and tear over time from not switching speeds/rpm. Have grafics cards fans come to a point where this does not matter and I can let the software manage itself by raising and lower the fan speed as needed? Please help! [link] [comments]

Best way to turn crypto into fiat Posted: 30 Jan 2021 12:03 PM PST Hey currently i am mining through NiceHash because it verry easy to cash out crypto into fiat. So my question is, when i start mining to a pool and get cash out on a wallet i have to transfer that eth to an Exchange to get fiat and as far as i know there are pretty high gas fees on eth. So how do you guys do this? [link] [comments]
New to mining. Specs and 24 hr results. Advice/tips appreciated. Posted: 30 Jan 2021 09:43 PM PST Hey there, newbie miner here! I have a 2080 super in my gaming pc and a 1060 in my laptop. I was curious to enter the mining scene and before investing a bunch of money I figured I'd mine with these to see what's what. Here is my current config/results/ I'm using lolminer and ethermine.org to track progress. I've gone off the deep end and have been researching crypto to my wits end for the past day and have a friend that has been into crypto since 2017. Just running these two machines 24/7 would bring me ~ $150/month which is neat. Pays for my tendy addiction. Any tips, advice or comments appreciated! TIA! https://i.imgur.com/pGHxM2b.png TL:DR [link] [comments]
Should I trade my 1080s for 1660s? Posted: 30 Jan 2021 09:39 PM PST Debating trading my two 1080s (I'm small time) and or selling and then rebuying 1660 supers or tis. I'm not sure I can get much more than 28-30mhs out of my 1080s and they are solid gaming cards. The 1660s do about the same. Would it make sense to try and swap or sell into 2-3 of them even though they have less VRam? [link] [comments]
[QUESTION] Can R7 260X 2GB mine something in 2021 Posted: 30 Jan 2021 09:19 PM PST Hi. I have R7 260X and can get 3 or 4 similar cards with 2GB VRAM. Can them mine something? Im tried lolminer, MyMiner, vertcoin -> unsupported. [link] [comments]
Moving from server psu’s to safe psu’s lol Posted: 30 Jan 2021 05:28 PM PST So i managed to snag a corsair hx1200i and im going to replace the server psu on my 3060ti rig for peace of mind the other problem is i have 4x 3060ti running and 1x gtx 1060 running so u dount the 1200w will power the system. Now i have a 550w psu that is currently plugged into one of the 3060tis and i know you can split the psu connections with a wire but im wondering if is safe to have two different psu's connected to the mobo? Like will it safely split the power for two different power supplies without killing any cards apon powering it up. [link] [comments]
