It's important to acknowledge the common fight we have with crypto/short squeeze and stand up for the censorship. Reddit censorship should never be allowed unless it's illegal which the subreddit didn't violate anything. Cheers to everyone fighting the good fight and going to the moon!

I’m no millionaire but anyone else ever get a reality check that most people in this sub are playing with very small amounts of money?

    Posted: 27 Jan 2021 04:39 AM PST

I'll be reading discussions and considering my investments then you'll see lots of comments like "I've got a spare $100 to throw at something, shill me" and so I suddenly realise that a lot of what gets posted is from people with very little skin in the game. I know it's all relative and I am not meaning to sound arrogant but just yeah sometimes it surprises me when I read so many queries about such small investment amounts because people talk and act like they are talking about much larger sums.

Stop posting GME, go to wsb or other channels. r/Cryptocurrency is NOT for stocks.

    Posted: 28 Jan 2021 01:26 AM PST

It start to get difficult here to find crypto related posts or discussion. My frontpage is full of GME shit and propably yours too. Would we be so nice to keep this subreddit clean and only crypto-related posts as it should be?

We need to band together like WSB, its us vs all these shitty institutions abusing us for years.

    Posted: 27 Jan 2021 07:30 PM PST

We might not have a chance to take down a giant hedge fund but now is our chance to take back some control over finance.

    Dont leverage up 1000X

Dont invest your lifesavings into some scam coin

Buy BTC and ETH and let's make these the best investment of this new decade.

As long as they're still mocking us and calling btc terrorist financing, we're all early to the party.

If either ETH hits 3500$ or BTC 69.420$ before Christmas 2021, I'm getting a nice crypto inspired tattoo on my ass.

After reading about the reddit partnership I'm more hyped than ever. I gues all our rocket needs right now is some sort of sacrifice.

Also I was inspired by our brothers over at WSB and am kinda disappointed that the betting game over here is kinda weak in comparison.

    Design proposals are welcome.

Everybody says “Buy the Dip” but can’t find “The Dip” coin at any Exchange. Help me.

    Posted: 27 Jan 2021 02:16 PM PST

I'm pretty new at this space looking for a coin or token that can make me rich with only U$ 100. I've answered a lot of quizzes at Coinbase and now I'm ready to build my future and buy my lambo.

But I am facing a huge problem. Almost everyday People is saying "Buy the dip". I think that The Dip is the best coin on the market because all of you are recommending it. But I don't find where can I buy it.

At least I am happy to not have The Low, because I've noticed that everybody is selling this.

    Can you help me?

I've been all in on this WSB thing for the past week and have been doing well by their advice, but secretly I've been hoping more than anything that the humble doge would increase to a dollar and make a lot of people some SERIOUS money.

R/CryptoCurrency could be next, and decentralization is important.

    Posted: 27 Jan 2021 04:55 PM PST

So we all know by now, WSBs discord has been suspended, and their sub is now under investigation for market manipulation.

Whichever side of the Parler ban you were on, it shouldn't matter at this point, it's clear that mass censorship of anything that is not liked is a horrible idea. They will do it in the name of "we found one post out of 25,000 that had some hate speech in it so therefore the sub violates our rules and now we must ban it.

Big time bankers/private investors can congregate at ANYTIME to short crypto, or stocks but when the people on reddit crypto or wsb beat them at their own game pumping crypto or stocks...right away they want to regulate that. They want to tell you "They are in control".

This is why decentralization is important. YOU CANT BAN DAPPS when literally millions upon millions of people are running NODES world wide (pods if you're using diaspora).

Hate to complain but I GOT REKT on youtube everytime I started gaining ground. False copy right claims against me by no name channels operating out of India/china, videos taken down when they reach 50-100K because of violations of violence ( a street fight)even though it was age restricted. I SPENT 14 days making a documentary and when it hit 10K views SOMEONE FALSE COPYRIGHT CLAIMED and youtube did ZERO about it.

Youtube will only take your side when you're a popular channel.

All in saying. We need highly adopted DAPPS fast

We must do something to deter censorship.

Think I playing around? I'm not. They are going to regulate everything you do if this keeps up. Sooner or later places like reddit will ask you to upload your ID so you're full details will be stored so the Gov can FK WITH YOU AT ANYTIME.

Be safe Be smart THINK FIRST, STOP ACTING FIRST.

Ethereum Foundation and reddit Partnership is the Biggest Adoption news I have ever seen

    Posted: 27 Jan 2021 02:11 PM PST

as we all know by now Ethereum Foundation and reddit announced partnership!

In my Opinion this announcement is the Biggest adoption news I have ever seen, ill explain why:

By brining "Community points" to more reddit subs people can learn more about crypto from an inner drive, Finally crypto will be able to reach out more people who weren't really interested in crypto before.

One day people will comment on some reddit post, will get some upvotes and will see some crypto coins popping out in their "vault" Just like magic!

it will make people want to learn more about about these "Magic" coins but from an inner drive and not by being talked into it.

That will make the difference in adoption.

Paying with Crypto through PayPal was pretty big news too and it enabled people That have Crypto to pay with it.

The Difference is in the POV of the consumer:

PayPal is like : "yay I can use my Crypto to buy things"

Reddit is like: "Ok that's nice first time I'm meeting this Crypto thing, I wonder what it can do."

As Humans we are a curious species and trigging this emotion will bring Adoption!

Thank you for coming to my TED talk, hope you enjoyed it, will love to hear your thoughts!

    Reddit MOON info for newcomers

    Posted: 27 Jan 2021 06:58 PM PST

I've spent a ton of time in the daily answering questions with all the new interest, decided to put more info into a full post:

    • To earn/store moons you will need to download the reddit mobile app and set up your vault (click on your icon at the top left of the home page). Then you can login to your vault on web once it's set up.

    • You earn moons with karma in the community, once a month Reddit submits a list of contributors to the subreddit in order of karma to see who gets what percentage of the issuance. The issuance is scheduled to be 5,000,000 per month dropping 2.5% each month until a max supply of 250,000,000 is hit (including burned moons). Reddit keeps 20%, the mods get 10%, and 20% is reserved for the broader reddit community with the remaining 50% being distributed to contributors.

    • The main purpose for moons is to own a share of the community (vote on governance/distribution proposals) as well as redeem them for the premium membership, which allows you to change the color of your username, embed gifs in comments, add custom flair, etc. That costs $5 per month/1,000 moons per month in our sub or 500 bricks per month in r/FortNiteBR. They also want us to trade them within the community and eventually on uniswap or idex once they transition to mainnet.

    • People can also tip you moons directly if they like your comment/post. To tip a user just hit the moon icon next to their username and put the amount of moons you want to send (this feature was removed on iOS because Apple sucks). Another way to tip moons is to go to your vault and hit the send button at the top right, input the username you want to tip + the amount of moons you want to tip and hit send.

    • You can't buy moons from reddit (there are some exchanges to buy through like HoneySwap and kuyumcu). When you use your moons to buy premium they are burned (half of burned pool is introduced in each issuance period). If you buy premium with cash Reddit will burn moons on your behalf.

    • Moons are now redeemable for coins at a rate of 40 moons/100 coins

    • Reddit launched the great scaling bake off & proposals are under review. OMG network, the Raiden team and many others submitted scaling solutions to reddit for review.

    • The scaling bake off has resulted in Reddit partnering with the Ethereum foundation to accelerate scaling solutions for community points and for other integrations of ETH into reddit. It appears Reddit is still focused on a L2 approach

The GME Pumps Secured the Future of Blockchains

    Posted: 27 Jan 2021 08:43 PM PST

The Internet just made fools of some of the richest people in the world. If you don't know what I am talking about Lous Rossmann has some good videos.

Centralized organizations are in the process of forcefully disconnecting millions from their earned money and communication networks. It's clear that if you throw a million autists against a few thousand nepotistic cheating gamblers something is bound to break. The cheats have been exposed, money has been lost, power has been gained. You can only get away with cheating the piper for so long.

So what's changed other than money? While Bitcoin and other CryptoCurrencies continue their regular slow "Transactions Per Second", the bloated financial system quickly comes to a halt for a significant portion of the population. Many have learned a lesson about real financial freedom and they are looking for a way out. /r/WSB showed that money and speech are the same things. Money is a type of streamable content.

It's not the speed of the network that matters in a situation like this. It's about the quality and reliability of that valued content. Those who have been in the space for years have already seen these types of wealth transfers before, the only difference is they haven't been able to shut us down. We have been too hard to understand. People are noticing.

While the whole sub is shut down, many of their meme videos showed Bitcoin in the news ticker. Uniswap is kicking ass in both price and volume.

Finacial friction is starting to lose its grip.

Honest question: why can’t the crypto community come together and act as one like the r/Wallstreetbets community did this week?

    Posted: 27 Jan 2021 05:37 AM PST

Watching the guys/gals over at WSB take down Melvin capital this week was like watching the prisoners take over the jail and feed the corrupt warden a big F you sandwitch.

Their community seems so much tighter than ours, and I couldn't help but wonder why?

Why does it seem so fractured here? They all have their favourite stocks like we do our coins and tokens. They are trying to make money like many here.

How do we make this place more like a community?

We even have our own shitcoin now that's pumping like crazy.

I feel like 2018-2020 were just a dream, and I have just awoken back in 🚀land and it feels good :)

Squeezing hedge fund shorts: What's happening to the stock market, how it's affecting crypto, and what you should do.

    Posted: 28 Jan 2021 01:56 AM PST

What we're witnessing is historical. The short squeezes to come will have implications for the stonk market for sure, but something as huge as this will effect us as well. This is my analysis. You don't have to agree. Please tell me if you think I'm wrong, if there's something I've missed. Constructive discussion only makes our community better.

    What's already happened:

    • ETH holding strong at 1200+, BTC dipping and testing 30k resistance.
    • GME, AMC, etc pumping in triple digit percentages.
Retail investors/Robinhooders are pumping a heavily shorted stock, squeezing the shorts, and rolling profits into the next heavily shorted stock.
    • Hedge funds are suffering losses on shorts, getting margin calls, and liquidating their other positions to cover their losses: GOOG, APPL, blue chips down 3-5%, NASDAQ and SPY down.

    What this tells us:

    • Money has moved from BTC, likely into the traditional markets to finance the stock pumps we're seeing. ETH is unfazed, so this is where most of the 'smart money'/crypto bulls seem to be.

What could happen if the pumping, taking profits, rolling them to the next shorted stock continues a few days:

    • Insofar as BTC is a hedge against the financial system and a store of value, retail investors move away because they don't need to store their value, and are using it to actively attack the financial system.

    • Money in ETH is unlikely to join forces with the anti-establishment traders in the stock market. ETH itself with DeFi is already anti-TradFI, so it won't decline as much. BTC falling and ETH holding might even prompt further BTC sell-off into an ETH pump.

    • Meanwhile, Institutions further sell off their other positions to cover losses on shorts, driving NASDAQ and SPY down further. Consistent sell pressure could trigger a larger sell-off, algorithmic or otherwise, and the stock market could dip even further.

    • Unlike the march crash, this won't be because of an external factor that effects all markets. It's a dip caused by lack of confidence in the financial system: bullish for crypto. We'll see money and profits flowing back into BTC.

tl;dr: wsb degens and divesture from crypto to attack hedge funds shorts triggers sell-offs so funds cover their losses, stonks dip. After, profits and anti-establishment traders roll back to btc. ETH hovers around usual volatility, maybe even pumping.

Take profits now, and over the next two weeks, buy the fucking dip.
