Fuck the whales and the bears, I'm gonna DCA this thing to death.

There are way too many bullish developments coming soon to let go. To name a few:

    • PayPal is about to open Bitcoin purchases to their millions of users and merchants (settled in fiat)
    • Michael "Mega-Chad" Saylor is hosting a conference to share their playbook with institutional investors early Feb. A wall of institutional money might very well be coming later this year.
    • Janet Yellen clarified her views as to Bitcoin during her confirmation in a positive way. Yeah, regulations are actually a positive for large institutions, who hate regulatory uncertainty over anything else.
    • The new SEC chairman is pro-Bitcoin. The rumored new head of the CFTC is known to be crypto-sophisticated too. If that's not bullish, I don't know what is.
    • The S2F model, which has an historical accuracy of 95% suggests a major bull run is due this year.
    • Central banks around the globe are printing money like there's no tomorrow. In the US another round of stimulus checks in likely coming soon

... and probably more that I'm not aware of.

Fellow Bitcoiners, buckle-up, this year will be a crazy roller coaster ride. Skeptics, if you don't believe it or don't get it, I don't have the time to try to convince you, sorry. To quote Michael Saylor, have fun staying poor.

Edit: forgot eToro taking about limiting the trading due to shortage of Bitcoin, the mayor of Miami contemplating putting some of the city's treasury into Bitcoin, professional sports player transfer being paid in BTC, and the recent attention of Blackrock concerning Bitcoin futures.

Why You Must Buy Bitcoin Now More Than Ever

    Posted: 27 Jan 2021 06:48 PM PST

Let me start of by saying this is not at all driven by technicals. In fact, the underlying properties of bitcoin, its potential, and the way our society/economy is doing is what created this.

All of this going on with WSB and Gamestop just makes my conviction on bitcoin stronger. People are starting to revolt seeing that the stock market has always been manipulated by hedge funds/institutional investors. Now that retail investors are joining in, they want to move the field posts around to benefit their positions. I'm not saying the market is in a bubble, but valuations and returns have been through the roof the last few years. Quantitative easing and all of the stimulus has been destroying the dollar and propping up our market.

Wall Street doesn't care making money at the expense of retail investors and the narrative is starting to turn. The currency for all of this has been the dollar which will continue to suffer as all of this occurs. The perfect mix of a pandemic, money printing reaching insane levels, increasing deficit, and artificial market stimulation tells me that this won't end well for the dollar.

$BTC literally benefits from all of those things I just mentioned. Its quite the opposite of the dollar. Its properties are deflationary, asymmetric, and decentralized. Its almost as if Bitcoin is the missing puzzle piece to solve (or should I say to save) our financial system. This is only the beginning of a revolutionary technology that people will try to desperately fomo into in less than a decade.

Oh, and don't worry about the bears. We need them; it lets us know we are still early and have plenty of room to go.

TLDR; Retail investors are shedding light on the fallacies of Wall Street and the USD will be next. Dollar cost average into Bitcoin long term and thank your genius self by next the next halving. Remember, the dollar's weaknesses are literally Bitcoin's strengths.

Sending the Michael Saylor's Bitcoin for Corporations Summit link to CFO

    Posted: 28 Jan 2021 12:25 AM PST

As you guys may know, Michael Saylor is organizing the btc for corporate summit next week. I just thought of sending the link to the CFO of the company I work for. I work for a $150B+ market cap company in the traditional industry and the management tends to be conservative. But who knows, I will send it anyways and it should not hurt. I would encourage you guys to do the same. Below is the link:

How much Bitcoin land do you have?

    Posted: 27 Jan 2021 11:00 PM PST

There are 148,429,000 square kilometers of land on Earth. This means there are 7.07 square kilometers of land for every Bitcoin.

So if you have 0.01 BTC, you have just over 13 football fields of land.

Oh, you have more than that?

0.15 Bitcoin will get you something the size of Peng Chau island off the north-eastern coast of Lantau Island, Hong Kong. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peng_Chau

2.0 Bitcoin is all of Key West. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Key_West

8.3 Bitcoin will get you all of Manhattan Island. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manhattan

And 15.0 Bitcoin get's you something the size of Disneyland Park in Anaheim, California. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Disneyland

You've got more than you think.

To all those saying: "Buy now before it's too late!"

    Posted: 28 Jan 2021 03:10 AM PST

    No, just no.

You don't know if now is a good time to buy. You don't know if we are at the bottom right now and soon it will skyrocket again. Stop giving advice on when to buy and let people decide that for themselves. You cannot predict the future and you don't know what the price will be in a day, a week or a month from now.

Bitcoin is an extremely volatile currency and it goes paired with many bubbles that all eventually burst. On the long-term, of course Bitcoin's price is increasing steadily. But there are intermediate bubbles and we're probably right in the middle of one. People should decide whether they wish to buy or not, purely on rational and well thought-through reasons. Not because some random person on /r/bitcoin tells them they should because he/she thinks bitcoin is going to the moon.

Rather than telling people to HODL or telling people that the perfect time to buy is now, give them advice on how to determine for themselves whether they want to invest or not. Help them to make a decision on themselves, but don't push them in any specific direction. Teach about investment strategies, setting goals, being responsible with money. Teach what aspects to look at to help them determine if and how much they want to invest.

Creating all this hype can end up damaging people because they create a view on reality based around all this hype. And then, when things don't go the way the hype was making them believe it would, poor decisions are made resulting in potential poor decision making and all damages associated with that. If you truly care about the community, you don't tell people to buy/sell/hodl. You instead teach them how to make that decision for themselves.

I really hope this post isn't misinterpreted.

blockchain.com seems to scam.. no answer from support, stole 200 EUR

    Posted: 28 Jan 2021 02:07 AM PST

blockchain.com, for years trustworthy. But now seems nothing but a scam.

Spent 200 Eur and never got any deposit on my wallet. Spent 200 Eur for nothing and I'm really mad now. Waiting since over a week for any answer of support. Opened 2 Tickets. No answer.

Choose another service if u want to have support. I can't do anything now.. only contact is this stupid ticket which never will be responsed.

I'm very angry about this.. just want to make sure the internet never forgets.
