XRP could be the first officially recognized crypto, that it's not a security.

    Posted: 31 Dec 2020 04:03 AM PST

I've just now realized that if (and that's a big if) Ripple wins the case and XRP is declared not a security, it will be the first officially recognized crypto, that it's not a security. I know about the whole SEC declared BTC and ETH not securities on 2018, but that was only SEC officials (including the previous chairman) personal opinion on it.

I'm not saying that they are securities, but having a legal document declare it's not a security is entirely different than the personal opinion of someone in the Commission. Also many of the these officials have left the SEC and we will have new chair in the coming weeks.

We could see institutional investors flocking into Grayscale's XRP trust and other accredited investor instruments, because of the clarity.

I have some XRP on binance that I have to move. Where should it go?

    Posted: 31 Dec 2020 01:15 PM PST

I invested in XRP a few years ago and intend to HODL, it's currently on binance. Where should I park it for now? I'm a US citizen, and have some coins on coinbase but it seems like it's getting delisted most places for USA. Cold storage wallet? Send to coinbase and wait for the nonsense to blow over? I have 12 days to move off binance to somewhere.

EToro USA Becomes Latest Exchange to Suspend XRP Trading

XRP is a threat to the US dollar?

    Posted: 31 Dec 2020 06:59 PM PST

Been thinking of this, and I think most people deep in XRP already know, just want to hear your thoughts.

XRP is a bigger threat to the US dollar than Bitcoin is. Bitcoin is just kinda there. You can trade it, exchange things with it, store value, whatever. XRP on the other hand is trying to be a "Bridge currency" with an even playing field in mind.

Even playing field means the US dollar isn't the reserve currency anymore. So instead of having China's Yuan step in the dollar's place, there's this bridge token that isn't in control of any one country. Therefore no country can take advantage of this like the US has done with the dollar.

What do you think? Is XRP a back up plan, or does the US not like the idea of losing it's reserve currency status so that's why the SEC attacked it? "Lender of last resort"?
