    Took my XRP out of cold storage and sent it to a non-custodial wallet for the snapshot tonight. I was expecting it to be fast, like maybe a minute or two, but the XRP was sent and in my other wallet in less than 3 seconds...literally. It was amazing! I mean the use cases for something like this are endless!

    Airdrop happened. Done. The End. There wasn't a big pump before and there wasn't a big dump after. There was an up and a down but not much. It's only a few cents less than where we started and all of us HODLers that stayed strong got some Spark coin to look forward to in the spring!

    For those who sold before cause they were scared of a dump after the airdrop. Buy back in now while it's cheap!

    Ripple Executive Says Flare Bringing DeFi to XRP As Anticipated Airdrop Arrives

    Now that the snap shot has been taken lets talk about the distribution ratio for XRP holders that will be allocated spark based on the snapshot.

    Flare stated:

    "100 Billion Spark tokens will be created to mirror the quantity of XRP that exists. There are approximately 45 Bn XRP tokens that do not belong to Ripple labs. The objective of the distribution is that XRP holders other than Ripple can claim approximately a 1:1 amount of Spark to their XRP holding. 45 Bn Spark will be claimable by XRP holders (stripping out known Ripple labs addresses). 25 Bn Spark will go to Flare Networks Limited which is Flare's for-profit organization. 30 Bn Spark will go to the Flare foundation. "

    45 billion Spark will be claimable by XRP holders.

    The 55 billion belonging to Ripple i believe is both their escrowed and non escrowed holdings.

    Of the 45 billion that potentially will be distributed the categories that I believe will not receive spark and therefore ADD to the ratio is:
    -Ex Ripple employees(Jed McCaleb/ ??others??)

    -Ripple employees (Brad Garlinghouse/Chris Larson/Arthur Britto/David Schwartz/??others??)

    -Non participating Exchanges(??)

    I would expect between Jed/ripple employees/non participating exchanges close to 20 billion will be reallocated. So the ratio will be closer to 1:2 xrp:spark

    Once the 6 months window starting from the Flare network go live date any unclaimed Spark will be burnt. I expect at least 10-20% of XRP wallets will not claim. Consider just the 300million XRP belonging to late Mathew Mellon that is rumoured to be gone for good due to loss of keys. At a rate of 1:2 that alone is 600million Spark that will be burnt. There will be a bunch of other lost keys and a whole heap of people who hold and will not be aware of the drop, and no doubt there will be other holders that can not be bothered/leave it to late.

    As always i may be way off on my thoughts so please let me know where i have gone wrong.

    Am I the only one who thinks that the price of XRP will go up right after the snapshot?

    As we are already used to in crypto, and contrary to logic, I think the price of XRP will increase right after the snapshot, because a lot of influencers will start to say that, differently than a hard fork, as was the case of Bitcoin Cash, the fork which will be happening after December 12 will be used to add further value to XRPL, like this guy: https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/ten-reasons-obtain-maintain-spark-tokens-adri%C3%A1n-s%C3%A1nchez-rodr%C3%ADguez

    I dont understand HOW this happened.

    So, today i opened my XUMM app and i found that today my XRP account is deleted with all the XRP amounts transferred to an external address (rnmmG1QSVjZiTV5Toy32dsH8ZGDQSW6DZF)...And i do not have any clue about this happened...this is my public address on the ledger: https://livenet.xrpl.org/accounts/rGj8Yuu7xWNt2Rro4PfzfinMasgQ9KtcFQ . I imagine that all my tokens are gone for good...right? no way to get them back.

    Am I too late for the spark token screenshot?

    I heard that the screenshot will occur December 12th at 12am. Is the screenshot at 12am of where the company resides in the world? Or would it occur 12am where the person lives in a different time zone?

    XUMM Signed Transaction However Can't see it On Flarenetwork Checker

    I just downloaded xumm on my iphone and it verifies that the transaction is signed however when I checked using the flarenetwork checker it doesn't show there's a flare wallet set up. Could anyways please help provide some insight on this.

    I received my transaction code and tested it on bithomp but no transaction hash appears.

    A Blast From The Past - How BTC price ROSE after Cash's hardfork.

    On August 1st 2017 a Bitcoin fork happened which ended in the creation of Bitcoin Cash, prior to the fork, many folks were speculating the price would definitely go down to take advantage of such process, just like it is discussed now here with XRP-Flare. The opposite happened, the price continued to go up to the well known end of 2017 epic bull run.

    Of course, BTC is totally different from XRP and also a hardfork is not the same as an airdrop, but I can't help myself to see some parallels between the two.

    Makes me think XRP will do the same with Flare. Price will go up, not down.

    Ive lost my entire xrp because i used the wrong destination tag

    Ive sent my entire XRP stash to an account owned my Uphold Inc itself. The account is extremely active and verified to be owned up Uphold Inc and has 19m xrp, btw that increased by 2million since 5 hours ago.

    I was trying to send it to my uphold wallet for the flare drop but mustve mistakenly used the wrong destination tag. If i contact uphold will i get my XRp back?

    Spark airdrop & BITFINEX margin funding

    I'm thinking of putting a few 1000's XRPs into a BITFINEX margin funding, but the main question here: The airdrop/snapshot happens tomorrow. Will I get the spark tokens if the coins are on the margin funding program?

    Very confused with the Spark Airdrop

    From all of the videos and articles I've read all you have to do to receive the airdrop is to move your funds into your ripple wallet. So if you have ripple on a supported exchange like binance, they will take a snapshot and give you Spark tokens? Do you need a specific software? Sorry for the noob question I usually just trade and this would be the first time I participate in an airdrop.

    How can I access a toastwallet backup
