Restore litecoin wallet without wallet.dat?

Hi guys, so I remembered I had a few litecoins on a litecoin core wallet the other day. I can't get my hands on the wallet.dat file but I have a paper with a long code. Is it the private key? Or public key? If it is the private key, is it enough to get the litecoins or do I need the wallet.dat file?

How do I cash out from ledger?

I moved all of my crypto last year after hodling for 2 years in coinbase. Now that I am finally in the black, how do I cash out?

Ledger site says I can use coinify but that allows btc cash out only, AND it's not available in my state. So how do I cash out before things start dropping again?

Full path and name of wallet? (Linux, not .litecoin)

I'm trying to find the location of my wallet.dat equivalent. I'm using litecoin-qt. It's an older version, 14.2. I can easily make a backup wallet, using the dropdown.

But where is the one it actually uses? Like, where, on the drive, does it store "wallet.dat"? It's not under ~/.litecoin, which is where google points me too, as that directory doesn't even exist. What is its default directory?
