Posted: 11 Dec 2020 06:11 PM PST So I've been a miner for over 3 years now, mining several different coins. Since August I've been mining Ethereum, cashing out those profits, to help cover costs the last 3 years of mining. My question is what is the recommended pool for an entery-level Ethereum miner? The hardware I have deprecated over the years, but still hashing at 140mhz on Ethereum (all 8gb+). I've been mining Eth on Mining Pool Hub, and easily paid their 0.001 Eth txn for withdrawals, but lately they've been asking for 0.003 txn on Eth withdrawals on top of their 0.9% mining fee. Are there any pools that are cheaper? I usually don't withdraw until I've mined 0.2 or more Eth, so that isn't a problem. Thank you! [link] [comments]
Posted: 11 Dec 2020 01:49 PM PST I'm aware of the memory over heating issue, however I'm not having this. I checked in hardware info and have no thermal limits. I've added thermal pads on the back PCB for this. My card mem can only overclocked to 450, anything higher will crash. Any ideas? Edit: After tweaking some settings, I now get 91-93MH/s. Brought the core clock up a bit, power limit down and mem to 500. I doubt I can get anything faster. Now it's just silicon lottery. [link] [comments]
Determining RX570 8gb profitable mining lifespan Posted: 11 Dec 2020 12:52 PM PST I am new to this, and I'm doing some research, so please forgive the question. The AMD RX 570s 8 gb cards are what I'm looking at to do mining. How can I determine how long the 8 gig cards will be profitable for? I know the 4GB cards are at end of life because of the dag but is there anyway for me to calculate how long the 8 gig cards will be profitable? I don't want to build an 8 gpu with the 570 8 gb only to find out is there going to reach the end of life in 6 or 12 months. Can anyone point me in the direction of determining this information? Thanks [link] [comments] |
