Posted: 02 Dec 2020 10:15 AM PST I have been for some time now reading about the so called layer 2 solutions, and in particular, the zk-Rollups. After using some of the projects that implement this technology, I'm amazed by how fast and cheap the transactions are, but I have some technical questions that hope someone can clarify:

DIY USB wallet vs Ledger Nano S Posted: 02 Dec 2020 01:21 PM PST I bought a Ledger Nano S the other day on sale, I don't have any crypto at the moment. However the $43 I paid for it is basically a loss at the moment on an investment. If I only plan to hold a small amount at the moment is there any realistic reason to not go with a DIY USB device? I know the pros/cons of both but I'm also cheap, I could spend the $43 on crypto and do the DIY USB drive on a trusted, offline computer then store the USB drive in a safe. [link] [comments]

Stupid question about Coinbase and hard wallets Posted: 02 Dec 2020 04:14 AM PST I have a few whole ETH on Coinbase I just ordered a hardware wallet but when I move them from Coinbase I assume I won't have the same amount of whole ETH as before as I assume Coinbase will take a fee of some sort to allow me to move my coins? How do I ensure I can move all my whole coins to the Wallet? Thanks [link] [comments]
