What do you think about unstopable domains? Posted: 13 Dec 2020 12:18 PM PST The ones ending in .crypto and .zil Seems you need special browser or chrome extension to even access those sites. And the site selling them holds quite a premium for all single words one (where does those money go?) The good thing is they are well unstopable, blockchain based. However, do you see this catching up and why? Do you see it fading and why? Do they have competition and which? [link] [comments] | ||

Who owns private key of the ETH 2.0 deposit contract account? Posted: 12 Dec 2020 02:03 PM PST Here is the known address: https://etherscan.io/address/0x00000000219ab540356cbb839cbe05303d7705fa I'm pretty sure it's not possible to unlock the properly staked Ether. But this address currently has $430 000 000 of tokens and possibly some Ether transferred directly to the address by a mistake. While I'm not ETH developer, according to my research, you need to unlock an account to publish a smart contract (so you need to know seed/private key). This address starts with zeros: most likely it was generated by a paper wallet generator that uses brute force to achieve this. So looks like the deposit contract is not a kind of burn address with an unknown private key like https://etherscan.io/address/0x0000000000000000000000000000000000000000 [link] [comments] |
