What happens when your Ethereum 2.0 Keystore and password is compromised? Posted: 05 Dec 2020 12:11 PM PST Can someone withdraw your funds (of course whenever possible) of your Ethereum 2.0 validator if they have your validator Keystore and Password generated by the Launchpad cli tool? I was reading and some people say they can't unless they have access to the mnemonic phrase. Is that right? My understanding is that the keystore cointains a private key of the validator that you are building which I think is one of the keys that the mnemonic phrase generates. [link] [comments]
When POW is no more where will you direct your hashpower ? Posted: 05 Dec 2020 04:16 AM PST Hiya Eth Miners, When ETH goes full POS where will you be directing your hashpower ? To whatever is profitable etc or do you have a specific coin in mind that you plan to mine? :) [link] [comments]
Will ethclient still be completely compatible with ethereum 2.0? Posted: 05 Dec 2020 08:44 AM PST I am aware that the current mainnet will eventually be docked to eth2 as a shard chain, and that geth will run as a chard node. But geth's etchclient is a lightweight client that does not require the user to be running a full ethereum node. Ethclient can either connect to a local node or to the infura gateway. So my question is, once Eth2 is fully deployed, will we still be able to use ethclient to connect and perform operations in eth2 the same way as for eth1? [link] [comments]

Posted: 05 Dec 2020 12:42 PM PST Hi, wasn't sure in which sub to post that question so i'm gonna try here, sorry if it's a stupid question or wrong place. So i started looking at Defi and the pros and cons and all that, being relatively new to crypto and so far mostly just buying and holding on a hardware wallet. My question is let's say i have 1 eth, that i want to earn compound interest on. I need to exchange it for DAI or cDAI or any other, and i earn 8% interest for a year let's say. At the end of that year, I want eth back, but the price of eth went up 20% that year...did i miss out on those extra 12%, or am i missing something. Possibly my cDAI token = 1 eth, so when i convert it back to eth it's still 1 eth...now worth 20% more than before. If that's the case then great, makes sense to me. That's what's confusing me and i couldn't find a straight explanation online. Thanks for the help, sorry for the noob question. [link] [comments]

Posted: 05 Dec 2020 04:45 PM PST Wow! Back at this after only 3 years having some Ethereum. I've purchased and transferred ETH to a paper wallet. I used to be able to transfer it from www.MyEtherWallet.Com to another wallet/exchange but the website has changed a lot and I am lost! Did a search and found a post pointing to this sub but the posting was 4 years ago. How does one move funds from an ETH paper wallet these days? Any tips? [link] [comments]
