Announcing the launch of the Wall Street Magnate /r/CryptoCurrency trading competition! Open now.

    Posted: 01 Dec 2020 08:29 AM PST

Hello! We're the team from Wall Street Magnate, and we're happy to announce the launch of the WSM /r/CryptoCurrency trading competition!

This is a live simulated trading competition (real live prices, simulated money), open to readers of /r/CryptoCurrency. For two weeks, each user will make any trades on WSM they'd like. At the end of two weeks, the top three finishers will receive physical crystal trophies and rewards from the moderators (TBA).

The competition will begin right now! It is completely free. Here is the link.

The competition will end a little over two weeks later, on Tuesday, December 15, at 11:59am.

    More Details

Trades are only valid for the competition between its start time and its end time.

Competitors can trade any of the following cryptocurrencies: Algorand (ALGO); Cosmos (ATOM); Bitcoin Cash (BCH); Bitcoin (BTC); Dash (DASH); EOS (EOS); Ethereum Classic (ETC); Ethereum (ETH); Kyber Network (KNC); Chainlink (LINK); Litecoin (LTC); Orchid (OXT); Augur (REP); Stellar (XLM); XRP (XRP); Tezos (XTZ); 0x (ZRX). Orders to buy or sell any of these crypto currencies can be placed 24/7 and will be promptly processed at their live price (according to Coinbase's feeds).

Competitors can also trade any stock listed on the NYSE, Nasdaq and AMEX. Orders to buy or sell stock may be placed at any time. If an order is submitted when the US exchanges are open (9:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. EST, M-F), it will be processed exactly 15 minutes later at the live price when the order was submitted. If an order is placed when the US exchanges are closed, it will be processed exactly 15 minutes after the stock market next opens, at the "open" price for the stock.

    About WSM

Wall Street Magnate (WSM) is a real-time market trading community with data from all of the major US Stock Exchanges and now, unique to WSM, live simulated cryptocurrency trading. Starting with $100,000 in simulated cash, members trade stocks listed on the NYSE, NASDAQ and AMEX, and as of July 2020, any cryptocurrency that can be traded in US dollars on Coinbase such as Bitcoin and Ethereum. You can read our AMA here.

We hope you check it out.

Bitcoin's Liquidity and 24/7 Markets are Less Talked About Components of its Exponential Success.

    Posted: 01 Dec 2020 07:21 PM PST

Admittedly, it is hard to find another globally-traded $350 billion asset that is as liquid and open to everyone as Bitcoin.

The Bitcoin market and network are on 24/7.

    • does not go on weekends or holidays.
    • does not have to wait for an opening bell.
    • users are not restricted because of their geography.
    • You can invest as little or as much as you want.

I can literally go from fiat to bitcoin, and bitcoin to fiat within a few minutes and yet to find another asset that gives me such leeway.

I once tried investing in oil when the price dropped in March and had to deposit $250 with a broker before I could do anything. Of course, I didn't go on with the purchase and rather bought more Bitcoin.

The unparalleled liquidity and inclusion that Bitcoin brings to the table are very crucial and a reason why I think it will truly be digital gold for the next generation.

    Just curious?

How quickly can you go from fiat to Bitcoin in your location?

WhopperCoin was a cryptocurrency launched by the Russian branch of Burger King as a loyalty program in the summer of 2017.[1][2][3] It was primarily notable for being the first issuance of branded cryptocurrency by a major company, and the first form of loyalty points that could be traded freely.

    First hardware wallet

    Posted: 01 Dec 2020 02:25 PM PST

Guys I'm so excited and happy. I dont have anyone I can share this news with except you guys. No one I know understands crypto or knows what it is. Someone asked me if its like "poker" because they always see me looking at the prices, and asked about it.

Ive bought my first hardware wallet. Been watching the prices and when I saw a sale (on the official site) I bought it, and it came today. Wouldn't have known half of the things I do now, if it wasn't for you guys, so thank you.

I feel like an official crypto dude... cryptonian? Crypto buyer? Hodler? Who cares im that. Yay me

Last bull run we didn't even have Lightning in beta, PoS or a credible Dai on Ethereum, or RandomX, Bulletproofs, or Dandelion++ on Monero, plus a lot more things

    Posted: 01 Dec 2020 08:06 PM PST

It may look like things are advancing slowly when you have envisioned the future, and for a moment you thought we were already there, but then you realize that we are not there quite yet.

4 years is such a short period of time compared with the evolution of the ecosystem. And this bull run is going to speed things up.

So Today I made my first Crytobond.

    Posted: 01 Dec 2020 06:45 PM PST

So Today I made my first Crytobond.

Ok so I couldn't even wrap my head around this when I heard it. I've been in crypto for a while now because a friend got me into it, he's a technical guru and I'm..not so much. So when I heard about this in the abstract without seeing it I didn't quite understand the point. I had the unique pleasure to be an observer of the birth of an idea from some really great minds through development into what I believe is really going to be a game changer in the defi space. I was able to create my very own bond. I had no idea what the potential was going to be for NFT I don't understand trading land or "art" It's a nice Proof of concept, but THIS is a great use case that isn't just a game. There are a lot of catchy ideas in crypto, tracking products, social reform, greenhouse gases, weed. Most are solving problems that already have solutions. In my opinion the cryptobond has a great use case. Truly locked unstakeable liquidity, interest that doesn't come from "nowhere". It can provide a service to other projects so they can develop trust, locking their liquidity for amounts of time can prevent the unforeseeable "rug pulling" we see so much. Not trapping you so that your only option to get your money out you don't even have to take a loss you can sell your bond to someone who is willing to wait the duration, no penalties, just less interest. Idk I was excited to see something that to me had real value and wanted to share. I'm not the developer just a friend of them.

How can my LLC purchase cryptocurrency?

    Posted: 01 Dec 2020 04:51 PM PST

I just made a coinbase account for my LLC but I cant buy anything with my business bank accounts or debit cards because the name of my farm doesn't match my name which I had to give to Coinbase since they don't offer the ability to make business accounts.

I want my farm to start buying crypto every week, where can I go to set up an account for that?
