    1. Bitcoin Core (BTC) Keeping the "Bitcoin" brand, big market advantage, but lacking in all aspects like: fees, scalability, speed. Second layers proposed are tokens or semi/full centralized (and flawed).
    2. Ethereum (ETH) A smart contract/token oriented blockchain, but lacking in the same aspect as bitcoin (just a bit less).
    3. Tether (USDT) Not a cryptocurrency but a stable coin, shouldn't be listed on coinmarketcap.
    4. XRP (XRP) Not a cryptocurrency but a centralized coin, shouldn't be listed on coinmarketcap.
    5. Litecoin (LTC) Just as Bitcoin Core, with some variables changed, development is almost dead.
    6. Bitcoin Cash (BCH) What Bitcoin was supposed to be, with a chain (SLP) oriented to token and smart contracts. Working well where Bitcoin doesn't: almost zero fee, 0-conf, high scalability. Basically it's like an improved version BTC + ETH.

    So I see Bitcoin Cash at rank #6 but in my mind I see it at rank #1.

    I know I'm the idiot for falling for this scam but I'm new to BTC and don't use Twitter other than to get support from companies I do business with.

    I've reported them and made Blockchain.com aware of this scam too.

    Stay safe people and always keep an eye out for scammers. I've learned the hard way.

    When miners are hashing blocks, how often do they update the list of transactions that are in the block?

    Hey all,

    I'm trying to un-tangle how I think about how miners include transactions into blocks.

    My understanding is that the hash of all of the transactions is taken into account when mining it. That would mean that the calculation would change completely if more transactions were added when mining it. My main question is, how often do transactions get added to the current block that the miner is hashing, if at all?

    A bonus question would be: if they get added into the block in the middle of hashing it, wouldn't that decrease the probability of finding a block? It would be like starting over from scratch, right?

    If you missed the first wave with Bitcoin in 2014, you might do well by catching the second wave (Bitcoin Cash) - but only if you actually learned about what Bitcoin actual is and how it is supposed to work, and what it is useful for - other wise you will have no one to blame.

    keys4coins accepts 0-conf Bitcoin Cash (BCH) tranactions in their gift card operation.

    They have done this for a long time, even before the doublespend proofs are generally available and in use (in the past also for BTC).

    To protect themselves, they currently have a safety limit of 100 EUR before 1-conf is required.

    Although 0-conf is common in physical stores, and not essential in web stores, the gift cards are money like instruments and the business is exposed to double spend scam attempts for that reason. So kudos to keys4coins to limit the risk as much as possible and do it anyway."

    December 2013: Adam Back flew to Montreal to recruit Austin Hill to join him in a vision for the future of blockchain. A month later standing in front of the whiteboard, Adam laid out his vision for Bitcoin and blockchain technology. On the whiteboard, it was written that Blockstream "Can't be evil."

    December 2020: 7 years later, we can see that Blockstream has done exactly that. Adam Back wasted no time after entering the Bitcoin market at the height of the frenzy in November 2013. He saw a big opportunity to seize the protocol, and took advantage of that as quickly as he could. He then did everything in his power to make Bitcoin his invention, and not Satoshi's.

    There is a reason why people think Adam Back is Satoshi. It's because for 7 years now, he has done everything he could to take over power of the protocol and claim it is his. From silly things like saying Bitcoin is hashcash extended with inflation control, to forming a multi-million dollar company to hire all the BTC devs he could find early on so he could rewire the protocol to what he wanted it to be.

    There's no coincidence that in 2012-2013 Bitcoin was already being subverted by government agents working with BTC core devs like Peter Todd, Greg Maxwell, Warren Togami, and Theymos, to keep the blocks small so that Blockstream can take over. Adam Back had a clear relationship with these folks, and they all joined together in a huge power move that was launched with massive censorship and manipulation to trick people into thinking they aren't evil.

    I have 11 of my seedwords, how can I find the 12th?

    I don't mind if I have to crack it somehow, I made the wallet with bisq, thought I copied all the seed words but apparently not. Is there a way I can get the 12th? I mean, it's just english words, there's a limited number of them. Is there a utility/script I can use to recover my wallet? I have $500 on there and am pulling my hair out right now.
