    Recovering wallet

    Posted: 24 Nov 2020 12:27 PM PST

I have an old ripple wallet key file that I've been trying to recover It was created using some older ripple software in around 2018 that I guess is no longer available. When I've tried recovering on other sites it doesn't seem to work. because its not base-58. it has L's and O's and stuff in the string. Does anyone have any idea how to recover this wallet

Are there any de-centralized exchanges for XRP to DAI out there?

    Posted: 24 Nov 2020 03:47 PM PST

    Hello,

I'm trying to look for a decentralized exchanges that allow you to exchange XRP to DAI/USDT. There are many exchanges like these for ETH based coins, but I couldn't find any for XRP. I'd love to know if anyone can suggest a reliable exchange with no KYC and decentralization, if there are any even.

    Thank you

XRP price and SPARK token airdrop

    Posted: 24 Nov 2020 03:46 PM PST

By now I think we are all interested in SPARK and the token airdrop that the team is issuing. I think it generated a lot of hype on this forum and elsewhere, causing people to look into ripple as a medium of acquiring a new token with some good profit. Also price is increasing, so all nicely falls into place.

What I am worried about is that when 12th of DEC hits people will sell like there is no tomorrow (XRP I mean). There is no incentive for (potentially) a lot of people that entered this space for teh token itself - after snapshot you can happily sell your tokens and you will get the reward still. Am I paranoid or is this a likely scenario?

    XRPBTC Doesn't Make Sense?

    Posted: 24 Nov 2020 08:15 AM PST

I'm seeing a lot of people saying to get into XRPBTC instead of XRPUSD during the runs. I don't think this makes any sense but I want to pose the question.

(The following values are all taken from Bitstamp US just now)

XRPUSD Low on 13 Mar: 0.114 / XRPUSD High on 24 Nov: 0.79

XRPBTC Low on 6 Nov: .00001564 / XRPBTC High on 24 Nov: .0004399

XRPUSD Gain: 6.92x, XRPBTC Gain: 2.81x

You'd make 2.46x more money just staying in XRPUSD and it's an actual crypto to which you own the keys and can get off the exchange.

    What am I missing here?

Edit: I've also run the numbers on if both cryptos get to their ATHs simultaneously and it's a total of 4.53x current XRPBTC value, still making XRPUSD (at 6.9) worth it over XRPBTC.

    Recovering an old RippleClient wallet?

    Posted: 24 Nov 2020 11:41 AM PST

I have an old wallet file (I think) from back in 2017. Probably from RippleClient which as far as I can tell is a dead project. Searching around I can't find any real reference to the file I have. Just a secret which I don't appear to have saved. The file is plain text but holds what looks like a 988 character encoded string.

    Btcmarkets.net spark tokens?

    Posted: 24 Nov 2020 11:00 AM PST

Just wondering if anyone knows what the situation is for the Australian exchange Btcmarkets.net regarding the new tokens to be air dropped.

    https://mobile.twitter.com/BTCMarkets/status/1311187673290162178

From this tweet, it seems like I don't need to do anything and the tokens will appear in my account. Do I have to do anything with my account to set this up, or will the exchange sort it out?

If anyone can give me more details, it would be appreciated.

Recovering XRP wallet with just a backup file

    Posted: 24 Nov 2020 09:50 AM PST

    Hi,

A long time ago I made a backup of my XRP wallet and the result was 1 file of like 808 bytes size.

How do I recover this wallet? I dont have a secret key just this file, I recovered my XRP a year ago using just this file but then I decided (I regret that) to just leave it and keep this file.

Is it RIP or is there a way?

    Thanks!

Is 4000 xrp not enough for anything?

    Posted: 24 Nov 2020 08:17 AM PST

I have 4000 xrp I bought long time ago and put on toast wallet. I never looked at it again. Is that amount ever going to amount to anything substantial or should I sell it?

Do you need like 100,000 XRP to make it? Is 4000 nothing? Not sure about this forgot about the whole thing to be honest.
