| Flare Airdrop - Uphold Update (From my post yesterday) Posted: 02 Nov 2020 11:43 AM PST Evening all, Firstly, a quick thank you to all who posted with guides on how to get everything setup for the Flare airdrop that's coming in December. After reading through them, I won't lie, I found them a bit on the tricky side (setting up eth wallets and all the rest of it, a lot of hassle). I have however, found possibly the easiest way to get in on the airdrop. I contacted Uphold to find out if they had an update on the airdrop (supposedly they announced something on twitter a while back, but have released no further details). After speaking to their live support, this looks to me like the easiest way to participate in the airdrop, without having to jump through a bunch of hoops (so mods, might be worth keeping this up for a bit for noobs like me who don't want to go through a complicated process). First off, if you don't have a wallet with Uphold, set one up by visiting www.uphold.com (if you already use Brave browser, you should already have this). Then all you need to do is go onto your Overview, where you'll see your XRP card. You might not have an address setup for XRP yet but this is easy to do: Simply click on the XRP card and click generate address. This will generate an address and a destination tag. Step 1 - complete. The only thing left for you to do now is transfer your XRP from wherever you're holding it (be it coinbase, or another exchange), enter your XRP address from Uphold and the destination tag and send your XRP over. That's it! Once the airdrop has happened (December 12th I think?), you don't need to do anything, and your uphold account will be credited with the Spark token. You'll be notified by Uphold when this has happened. Any questions, feel free to ask, and I hope this post is of some use to people! [link] [comments]  |
