"The Bitcoin Cash fork has completed. We’ve re-enabled BCH sends/receives to/from Coinbase and Coinbase Pro. Thank you for your patience!"

There is a cost, but we've got to call out bad behavior early for BCH's decentralized governance to work.

    Posted: 16 Nov 2020 04:58 PM PST

As a community, we were late to call out CSW/AS in a way that could be properly understood as a community consensus. I think these consensuses exist much earlier than they are properly surfaced, but this costs us precious time.

At member.cash there is a tool for reputational ratings with comments - I think using these to call out good and bad behavior will give us a much earlier indication if we have a powerful community member going bad. At the moment the community does have this reputational information - but it is distributed and not easily communicated. The member.cash web of trust aims to correct this.

Time to look towards the bright future instead of the past. Eyes on the prize.

    Posted: 16 Nov 2020 02:41 PM PST

I know some might feel good (understandably) to bash and gloat at Bitcoin ABC but it is important we move on as swiftly as possible from it. We can do with less hostility towards ex-BCH supporters. It's time to heal and bridge our differences because our eyes should be on the prize, making Bitcoin Cash go mainstream. Don't get distracted from the main objective. Don't carry the burden of the past and let them weigh you down, preventing you from moving swiftly towards the future.

It is time to be united, optimistic about Bitcoin Cash's future, building and making progress again, onboarding new users and merchants again, because at the end of the day, we all want Bitcoin Cash to become the global peer to peer money. And it won't happen by itself. We all need to make it happen.

True Decentralization. The Sewer Rat lives on.

    Posted: 16 Nov 2020 08:12 PM PST

Bitcoin Cash is the Sewer Rat that Andreas refers to. This project has faced constant adversity, but just keeps marching towards making the best peer-to-peer electronic (programmable) cash for the world. Multiple forks, multiple bad actors getting kicked out and constant FUD and ridicule from other communities trying to knock it down. At this rate it has truly proven to be un-killable, no matter what the outside environment throws its way.

Maximalists want to talk about decentralization with more nodes, but time after time Bitcoin Cash has proven to truly be decentralized as a project as no single entity has been able to gain control for their own self interests. Maximalists want to talk about how many times Bitcoin has "died", well how about how many times they've tried to deem Bitcoin Cash "dead"? Still here, still top 10 and still working on building peer-to-peer electronic (programmable) cash for the world.

I'm proud to be part of this community and so should everyone here. I've never felt so bullish and excited about Bitcoin Cash's future. Yesterday was another test, and now it feels like it's finally free and ready to prove the world wrong.

Worried about the future of crypto / Fungibility.

    Posted: 16 Nov 2020 10:56 PM PST

Currently I am concerned that the more this is adopted by the banks and governments, the harder it will be to fly under the radar and use bitcoin. I feel like when the day comes that we can spend these cryptos anywhere, the payment processors will not accept payments from "unknown" wallets. Am I worrying for no reason? Fungibility is not a strong point of BCH or BTC. And privacy coins like Monero may very well get outlawed so that your local convenience store would get fucked for accepting it.

    Bitpay support.

    Posted: 16 Nov 2020 06:22 PM PST

Does anyone know when bitpay will re-enable BCH? I haven't heard anything from them and my coin has been locked up since the 13th. I just want to know if i will be waiting a could more days or a couple more weeks or more. I use my bitpay card for everything so it's been a massive pain in the ass.

    Would BCH ever rise?

    Posted: 16 Nov 2020 07:34 PM PST

I don't care how good the BCH is. If the price is just keep going down all the time then it is just a shit coin!! It really hurts its supporters.

It’s been one day since the fork...

    Posted: 16 Nov 2020 09:23 AM PST

And ABC's futile attempt at driving the most decentralized Bitcoin in existence (BCH) to become their rent-seeking gimp has absolutely and tremendously failed.

Their shills are silent, trying to muster the few words of "why BCH lost us". Their telegram channel is a ghost town riddled with "next block will be soon." and "ask binance directly". (When rename?)

Their captain at helm, Amaury, engages in toxic shit smearing at other trolls instead of any discussion on what's actually happening with ABC.

And guess what's the number 1 key word on their telegram channel right now?

    "hOdL"

We went full fucking circle - back to Blockstream boys we go!

Hope BCHCain finds this journal more precise than his overly dramatic ones so far.
