Posted: 05 Nov 2020 02:27 PM PST I bought 15 at ~$500. Sold today @ $15k. It feels good to pay off my mortgage! I know I should HODL, but getting the debt gorilla off my back was too big of a temptation to resist. But I'm sure I'll regret it 10 years from now. Or sooner. [link] [comments]

Grayscale bought 7,808 BTC today. Posted: 05 Nov 2020 08:07 PM PST stupid flippers be like "heh heh i sold 15k gonna buy back at 14k" no you aint, bitch. whales buying, they never selling. DONT TRY TO TIME THE MARKET. buy & hodl smart money = many people dont try to time the market. Instead of buying $1,000 today, they buy $100 per week for 10 weeks resulting in a dollar cost average. in 1 year from now the stock-to-flow model predicts a price of $105,750 see this chart https://i.imgur.com/HuNDakq.png
tl;dr Bitcoin only goes up. hodlers always win. [link] [comments]

Before the Next Bitcoin Bull Market, Remember These 6 Essential Things Posted: 06 Nov 2020 04:06 AM PST I had written this in an article during the month of April 2020, but I think it is more essential than ever with the period we are currently going through: 1. Bitcoin is an extremely volatile market Bitcoin's volatility is a feature, not a bug. You can make it your best ally, or your worst enemy. It all depends on the strategy you choose to adopt. By choosing to become a HODLer, you can make Bitcoin price volatility your greatest ally. As a reminder, with the current price of Bitcoin, HODLing Bitcoin has been a profitable strategy 99% of the time. 2. You can lose all your money by buying Bitcoin Again, the secret is to be a Bitcoin HODLer. Trading requires specific skills that few people possess. If you are not one of the few people who have these skills, don't make the mistake of trading. Follow the best strategy possible with Bitcoin: Buy in DCA mode, Send on a hardware wallet, HODL, and iterate. 3. Only buy Bitcoin with money you can afford to lose It's common sense as always. 4. Beware of FOMO and FUD feelings Don't let your emotions take over in your choices. With the sharp rise in the Bitcoin price expected in the coming months, the hardest part is about to begin. You'll have to resist the urge that may arise to sell your Bitcoins in a hurry. If you sell your Bitcoins, you will end up regretting it sooner or later. Continue to be a Bitcoin HODLER. 5. Do your own research before buying Bitcoin If you want to be a Bitcoin HODLER, you have to be convinced by the Bitcoin revolution. If you don't, you will end up losing a lot of money, because your lack of confidence will push you to make bad choices. Constantly deepen your knowledge. 6. Set reasonable time slots to buy or sell Bitcoin Some people decide to trade anyway. They always try to be at the maximum of a top to sell and at the minimum of a bottom to buy. This pushes them to spend their time watching the Bitcoin price. Again, this is a mistake, and you will end up making bad decisions by doing so. The best thing to do is to limit yourself to the slots you spend looking at the Bitcoin price. That's basically the gist of the article. I think it's important to remember this because there will be a lot of new entrants to the Bitcoin world in the near future. [link] [comments]

Bitcoin has held above USD10,000 for over 100 days Posted: 05 Nov 2020 04:11 PM PST As at November 4, Bitcoin has been trading above USD10,000 for over 100 days. The last time it was this long was in 2017/2018, where it traded above USD10,000 for only 63 days. A sign of change. [link] [comments]
Told my family members, co-workers and friends about bitcoin for years. Nobody Listened. Posted: 05 Nov 2020 09:15 AM PST They all said: "Its a scam" "It doesn't physically exist" "Government won't allow it" "Its worthless" "US Dollars is accepted anywhere in the world. What do I need Bitcoin for"? [link] [comments]
How did satoshi onboard the first miners/node operators? Posted: 05 Nov 2020 08:53 PM PST What did satoshi say to get the momentum going on decentralizing the network? Why did people help him bootstrap? I understand that the difficulty was extremely low and miners were even incentivized by earning BTC. But BTC was worthless at the time. And even so, why did users run nodes? [link] [comments] |
