Miners, Hashrate and Block Size debate.

    Posted: 19 Nov 2020 02:18 PM PST

I was reading "The great bitcoin scalability debate" written by Daniel Morgan. And discovered that most of the miners supported the block size increase in the beginning, before the censorship took place and Core team / Blockstream criticized the Block Size increase "the Bitcoin XT node by Mike Hearn". So then they (Core) promised to increase the blocksize with SegWit update.

So my question is. Do miners really chose which chain is legit and which side to support or it is more which chain is more profitable to mine and all it comes up to $$$ profit. And that's why greed helped BTC to win this battle for a while. So who was behind all of this BTC pumping scheme?

I don't think anymore that it has to do with hashrate or which chain is the real one, the hashrate is higher because of the profit, that's why most of the mining power / miners are working on BTC chain.

    What a headache!

    Posted: 19 Nov 2020 10:43 AM PST

So during the time I was trying to split bch to bch abc, I realized I had bitcoin sv on a different server but same wallet. So I thought eh no problem, well I split the bch to abc successfully, but somehow the bsv got mingled with abc. When I try to go to sv server it shows the same amount as the abc server. So

Then i tried to move my bch funds to my hardware wallet, success that worked. When I check abc server on my electron cash wallet it says i have funds for abc. Thats good. But I have no way of checking what my bsv was they seem to share the same server. So then I had to download electrumSV wallet, and had trouble pairing that with my hardware, so I tried importing my electron cash wallet and now the bsv shows up there. Phew... took me 4 friggin' hours to figure this out.

I don't mean to complain, but i'm no computer illiterate by any means. And if it was this difficult for me, I cant imagine how confusing it would be for your average joe to understand:

    a) when a hard fork occurs

    b) managing funds in each wallet

    c) understanding the difference between a split coin

    d) Then finding out which crypto exchanges accept the split coins to dump

    e) realize that it takes MORE confirmations for that to occur so you need to way a very long time

    f) Not forgetting the sent split as I usually do but most importantly, if you previously had split coins how to separate those from the new split!

Oh and if this was a breeze for you and took less than a second to split and manage, well I envy you and now My head hurts =(

    Again about the split

Hi all! I know this is an annoying topic these days, but I ask anyway: yesterday I transferred the BCH from coinbase to coinex but they didn't split automatic. What should I do? Was it wrong to do the transfer? Thanks for your help!

Bch abc stuck at block height 661667 for 8 hours now cmon!!

    Posted: 18 Nov 2020 10:05 PM PST

Jeez man just when I split n and abc it's stuck at this height and I'm still only at 2 confirmations. And right before this block it was only 1 hour and before that another hour, did the last miner just give up and move on or something?!?
