I’m really really new to mining Posted: 24 Oct 2020 05:21 AM PDT Does it make sense to run a 2070 and a 2600x to mine anything at all and would there be any profit. I live in NYC so don't think the electricity is cheap at all which is why I never really considered before. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 23 Oct 2020 08:46 PM PDT bought 6 used sapphire rx580 s.e 8gb for 175$ each around 1.5 years ago when they were still in stores and rigs/video cards were flooded on kijiji I see msi, gigabyte and other rx580 brands go for 240cdn on kijiji when do you sell your cards? or do you run them until they die? they run flawless zero issue since I got it I already made back my ROI months ago [link] [comments] |
Posted: 23 Oct 2020 08:06 AM PDT I have 2 modest gpu rigs plugging away 24/7. But every afternoon on BOTH rigs the hashrate declines 5-10% and bottoms at 4:30pm. Then it slowly rises back to its normal hr. What could be causing this? The rigs are not crashing or restarting. This never happened on my old 570/580 rigs. Please feel free to speculate wildly. I am out of ideas. Some details: -Rig 1: 3x5600xt, 1 5700xt -Rig 2: 3x 5700xt -both on phoenix miner in windows 10 -tdp on this 20amp circuit is 1020w. -ethernet via netgear switch/fios gigabit EDIT: It was totally a heat issue! Tweaked my fan profiles for an instant gain of 30mh (30!!) between the 2 rigs. Not even an exaggeration! Solved thanks to my hero, u/aceqc24! EDIT 2: Also realized that the fanmin command in the phoenix miner bat file was reseting my radeon fan profiles. [link] [comments] |
1080s or 2060s (plural not super) what are your options? Posted: 23 Oct 2020 11:04 AM PDT Title. For now I'm doing a 4 card rig that will heat my basement TV Room. Noise isn't an issue. Prices on these cards used are around $240 for a 1080 and $225 for a 2060. Bonus question, what's the deal with server psus? Can they still power the motherboard and cpu? Are they loud af? Do they have all the protections that you need for 247 use? Any input is appreciated. [link] [comments] |
