Which open source BCH project could benefit from a new website and some branding help? Posted: 03 Oct 2020 02:41 PM PDT I've done a bunch of work for amazing BCH projects and I'd like to do more. I've tried raising money pre-flipstarter and it didn't really work. If we can decide on a project worth working on I'll try again. Here are some of the past bitcoin cash projects I've made websites for: Is this worth pursuing? If so, please recommend a project you think could benefit from a more professional image. Solo mining BCH question: is blocks found directly proportional to hash rate Posted: 03 Oct 2020 12:32 PM PDT If I have about 1/4 of the network hashrate, then I should be able to find 1/4 of the blocks, so the figuring goes, if I understand it correctly. Hashrate is supposed to be proportionate to hash power, so that someone with half the hash rate finds about half the blocks, although I wonder if this works out in practice. Does anyone have enough experience with solo mining or mining pools, mining farms or anything else to be able to answer this question about whether blocks found has this sort of cosy relationship with hash rate? Who would like to see a forked version of BCH with RandomX? Posted: 03 Oct 2020 05:01 PM PDT Most forks are either contentious or shameless money grabs, but I think this could actually be a worthwhile project. Monero's ASIC-resistance seems to spare them a lot of drama, as they don't have to curry favor with big miners. A RandomX fork of BCH could copy all the other code from existing projects, wallets, CashFusion, SLP, etc. The first thing the project would need is a system to provide atomic-swaps between XMR and RandomX-BCH. I think such a project could be an interesting bridge between the XMR and BCH communities. It would give XMR miners another coin they can mine, it wouldn't have to fight for hash power with BTC and BSV, and it could leverage the privacy benefits of both BCH and XMR. Also, I don't think you'd need to worry about replay protection if you switched algorithms? Every BCH holder would get an airdrop, and it would basically be another expression of the bitcoin experiment, operating under its own name. What do you think? Is it a project you could support, or something that shouldn't exist? [link] [comments]
Posted: 03 Oct 2020 05:54 PM PDT https://read.cash/@Mono/the-third-option-58670c9a Please read. Or don't. Just please stop adding fuel to the fire. Let's look for better solutions. In fact, it would be neat if instead of posting hateful comments and stories, people took projects and people they disagree with and posted interesting things about positive things they have done to contribute to BCH. For instance: "I don't agree with Vin Armani, but I think it's interesting that he..." "BU may not only mine BCH, but last year they..." "Shammah may be a meme performance artist, but stamp..." "Even though I'd like to know more about Freetrader, I do know he contributed..." Cheers, Mono [link] [comments]

Do you think central banks should be transparent and have oversight by the public? Posted: 03 Oct 2020 04:29 AM PDT I have only that question. Even if you disagree with the existence of central banks on principle, let's say the question is framed in the current reality where they exist. What I mean by transparency and oversight is "knowing who is in charge of making the executive decisions, who controls the making of policy and what is the policy". [link] [comments]
