    Add2psu or Dual psu cable?

    Posted: 15 Sep 2020 03:18 AM PDT

I have a 2 PSU rig and I was wondering which solution should I use to make the them work together.
Is there any difference between them? Which one should I use?

    Link for both:

3+ months of mining earnings missing

    Posted: 14 Sep 2020 09:41 PM PDT

I was mining early this year with 7 x GeForce 1070 rig running Windows 10 / NiceHash 2, and receiving weekly transfers to my address, as I verified on Blockchain Explorer. Then I was pretty busy in Spring/Summer and stopped checking the blockchain for transfers to my address, although I did note nearly every day that the rig was still performing work and sending shares during those months. Finally I checked the address again on Aug 10, and saw that the last payout was April 15. And on NiceHash's website my address's unpaid balance had become zero. So I stopped the rig, upgraded from NiceHash 2 to NiceHash 3 software, and got assigned a new address in their new system, and now it seems to be working again, showing daily increasing balance. But my question is, why was their system continuing to provide work and accept shares for 3+ months if they weren't paying for that work?

I have brought the issue to support, but they have not been able to offer any explanation, other than I must not have actually been mining, which I know is not true. I also posted to r/NiceHash, but it got deleted as "spam".

Has any one else had a similar occurrence with NiceHash?

No video output from Radeon VII

    Posted: 15 Sep 2020 03:35 AM PDT

Hi, so recently I bought 2 Radeon VIIs to put them into my PC with the plan in mind to connect one to my monitors and use it to game while the other one mines 24/7 on nicehash. When I'm not using my PC I want to use both.

So, the problem I've stumbled over is that the VIIs don't put out any signal to my monitors over HDMI. However, if I replace one VII with my old 480 it works. Is there any chance that my motherboard doesn't support these cards? I have an Asrock H87M Pro 4 with 2 pcie lanes. Did any of you encounter similar problems?

RX 580 Problems flashing back bios error 43

    Posted: 14 Sep 2020 11:24 PM PDT

    Hi,

I have an Asus Dual RX 580 4gb that i had flashed a mining bios to. now i want to use it in a normal pc. i lost all of my stock bioses so i went to techpowerup to download two that looked like they were compatible (Samsung memory)

i can successfully flash the card with both bioses, i can also sometimes run pixelpatcher, sometimes not. sometimes it says ''driver file to large''

When i try to install the driver for the GPU it writes it really fast, 0-100% in a few sec and i still got error 43 after running pixelpatcher again and restarting my pc.

    Any tips?

    Pcie risers

I need to power my pcie risers, which is safer? 2 molex to 6 pin or single sata to 6 pin? (I can not do a direct 6 pin from psu)

6 GPU and no fan. Good to go?

I'ts my first rig. Veddha case and it's in the basement. Winter is coming. Am I good until summer, or should I buy 5 x 120mm fan to put on my mining case?

What does maximum difficulty of found share mean?

    Posted: 14 Sep 2020 02:05 PM PDT

I just started gpu mining Ethereum last night with 3 of my eventual 6 radeon 5700 XTs. I'm mining on Phoenix miner and every 3 minutes or so it outputs a line that says "Maximum Difficulty of found share: 24.7 TH" That's a lot. With my current rig (only half of the GPUs installed) im getting 159 MH/s which would mean 24700000 MH difficulty share should take 43 hours or so to find even though its only been running for 12 hours. Am I misunderstanding something here?
