- 1080ti Eth mining...Hi it's my first time into mining...After watching many videos; it set it up to be able to buy a new gpu [My Electricity is free] ..Is it ok for my gpu to run 24×7 at 73°C ? How long will it last before it dies?
- Does pcie riser actually provide power to gpu or it's more dependable on 6 pins for the power?does it split evenly between those two?
- Some phat blocks out there on ETH.
- Can you plug EPS 6pin (for cpu) into Pcie riser instead of sata to 6 pin?
- looking for advice on taking the right path in choosing my first mining rig

looking for advice on taking the right path in choosing my first mining rig Posted: 05 Sep 2020 10:37 AM PDT Hi, I'm looking for advice. I want to complete part of the first mining rig. I currently have a CPU on Intel Socket 1151. Think to leave CPU and cooling and my modular 750w power supply. I am aiming for 5700, because according to preliminary calculations the rate of return to 570/580 and 470/580 looks quite nice and I have no money for other expensive type VII cards from amd. I am thinking of a few motherboards to choose from, all of them at a similar price: 1.MSI B360-F PRO (used, without cables, but with a warranty from the store, 15% more expensive than the rest) 2.Biostar TB250-BTC 3.ASROCK H110 PRO BTC + (this one is 30% cheaper than the rest, but I read that there are voltage drops on it) In addition, I still do not know what to do with the power supply issue, I see only one power input on these boards. Isn't it easier to buy a motherboard with two inputs? Are there any in a similar price range? What's your advice? Is buying such a card, e.g. from msi, a good idea and after connecting, let's say 9-13 cards at the beginning, is it worth having the option of expanding to 19 and one day just to expand the mining rig? Is it better to buy a half board less valuable for 12 cards and will it be better? [link] [comments] |
