A non-fungible token is a type of cryptographic token that represents a unique asset. NFTs are tokenized versions of digital or real-world assets. They function as proofs of authenticity and ownership within a blockchain network.

I'm Participating in the Puerto Rico crypto tax program. I trade and cash out all my crypto with zero % tax. AMA.

    Posted: 26 Sep 2020 04:15 PM PDT

Just a premise for this because I know it will be the #1 top asked question:

Can crypto obtained prior to moving to Puerto Rico be included in the tax grant and cashed out 0% tax after moving to puerto rico in the future?

The answer to this is yes, and this can be verified with the tax attorneys on the island who handle the crypto grant. In short, it relates to crypto being classified by the IRS as "personal property". As long as this remains true (versus currency, commodity, or other classification), capital gains on personal property obtained prior to PR residency is not taxable.

As you live on the island and ideally trade your coins, you automatically "domesticate" them to Puerto Rico, further protecting yourself from taxation in the future.

There is an argument that this is a false interpretation of the law. Its not a false interpretation but as with most new systems that have unclear guidance, there are conservative and non-conservative interpretations. This qualifies as non-conservative, and 100% of the crypto people on the island are relying on it.

For the NEO holders who may have missed this one

    Posted: 27 Sep 2020 02:54 AM PDT

Forgive me if I'm simply not searching correctly, but I couldn't immediatly see it on this subreddit, so I thought it might be interested for NEO holders who may have missed out on the news.

Admittedly, it was by accident a few days ago that I stumbled onto the news of being able to stake NEO on the Flamingo Finance platform. Flamingo describes itself as an interoperable, full-stack decentralized finance protocol built on the Neo blockchain. you can read more about it here!

In an event call the "Mint Rush" (started yesterday after some startup woes and lasts until the 30th), Neo holders are able to wrap and stake their NEO to receive a share of the FLM governance token.

So far, there is about $1.3 billion dollars locked in the platform. 1.3B locked so far

DYOR, go check it out if you haven't heard about it. I've personally staked my own holdings and barring a few hickups, have not had any strange things happening so far. For me, after the UNI drop, I've decided to become a bit more active when it comes to hopefully catching some interesting drops and the idea of NEO potentially becoming an interesting player in the defi space, sounds promising.

Thank you xmoon.exchange and fellow redditors

    Posted: 26 Sep 2020 06:00 PM PDT

I managed to liquidate all my moons today and stack another bitcoin. I shitposted relentlessly during the 2017 bullrun, and subsequently managed to lose multiple bitcoins on bitmex and many, many more hodling alts that made up my portfolio such as Ark and Nano. (Yes, still hodling them).

Fellow redditors today reached out to me and helped me figure out how to use xmoon.exchange along with honeyswap and rinkeby testnet and I was able to sell my moons. Could it be too soon? I don't know but I am extraordinarily happy with the satoshis I was able to stack. It was like winning a small lottery.

I never thought my shitposting would pay off, but I am just so happy to have something good come out of this nightmare of an altcoin bear market.

Thank you to the community and I hope you all are having as good a day as I am.
