    Thoughts on loaning out litecoin?

    Posted: 08 Aug 2020 09:47 PM PDT

Hello all, I'm new to this sub but I've been in LTC for just over a year now. I've recently discovered that it's supposedly possible to lend out your LTC, BTC, or whatever and collect interest on it. One place I found that does this is "Coinloan" (I'm not shilling for them this is just the first place I found), does anyone have experience with them or loaning out your LTC or any other crypto in general and could you please share your thoughts on the idea?

I personally find the idea attractive since my BTC & LTC are just sitting there in my wallet, why not have them make work for me along with appreciating in value? It also forces me to have an iron grip on my coins for the long term and prevents me from giving into the temptations of panic selling. The only downside I can think of that if the price of BTC and LTC moon I won't be able to sell and reap my profits, so I guess another question would be is when would be the best time to loan your cryptos in a bull or bear market?

Whatever happened to LTC as a base currency on Bisq, added 3 years ago?

    Posted: 08 Aug 2020 09:16 PM PDT

According to this post https://www.reddit.com/r/litecoin/comments/6ksf23/introducing_litecoin_as_base_currency_huge/ Bisq long ago enabled LTC (and even Doge -- did they also add Monero?) to be a base currency.

Whatever happened to that? BTC's slowness and expense makes it impractical to use as the base currency if Bisq is ever to really take off. Certainly something with both speed, liquidity, and much cheaper fees is absolutely necessary.

Please point me to a DEX, an active Bisq fork using Litecoin as the base unit.
