EVGA 850 G3 PSU Fan just died on me, can I replace the fan? Or do I need to replace the whole PSU? Posted: 29 Aug 2020 02:46 AM PDT My PSU just died in rather spectacular whizzing high pitched fashion that scared the living Jesus out of me. With the above model, can I safely get a fan replacement? Or is it finished. Any help would be appreciated, thanks! [link] [comments] |

Posted: 28 Aug 2020 09:07 PM PDT I have 4 1080TI's on a single server psu. The PSU says that at 120V it's max is 900W, and at 240V it's max is 1200W, it's getting 125V currently. 1080TI's take up to 250W, but I have them set to use 75% power in MSI afterburner. That's about 180W per card, or 720 total. I should be just under the 900W limit, but when I look at HW info, the cards don't seem to care about the max I set in MSI afterburner. Sometimes I see them as far up as 210. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 28 Aug 2020 11:47 AM PDT I have a few extra 19" server racks kicking around. With so much moving to the cloud they're cheap as hell on Craigslist, etc. Does anyone make a rack-mountable open air chassis? I went into the google thinking they'd be a ton of options but all I've found are closed chassis by manufacturers like Rosewill. I guess I can make my own...but I'd rather not... [link] [comments] |
Should I keep the 4GB Cards in mining rig or sell them? Posted: 28 Aug 2020 10:51 AM PDT I've been out of mining for a bit and now the ethereum DAG file is bigger than 4Gb so I can't mine that anymore correct? Does ethereum classic have this same 4gb issue or can I still mine that? Should I still keep this miner intact and mine a different coin or sell the cards? Thanks! [link] [comments] |
