The first batch of these have been uploaded now from the winning entries in this badge design contest: https://www.reddit.com/r/CryptoCurrency/comments/htqsvp/rcryptocurrency_badge_design_contest/ Thanks to /u/keeri_, /u/astronautandmonkeys, and /u/stopdropandrauljulia. If you buy a special membership using Moons, then you are now able to select a custom badge that will show by your username as a Bitcoin Cash, Bitcoin, Cardano, Chainlink, Doge, Ethereum, Iota, Litecoin, Monero, Nano, Ripple, Stellar, or Vechain fan. You can also use the Business Time Doge, Cardboard Box House, Dogejak, or Moonmoon badges. These are in addition to the monthly badges being produced by Reddit admins. Going forwards anyone is able to submit a custom badge in the sidebar. Please follow the design rules here. Anyone that has a badge approved will get a small bonus of ~100 karma that should give them a bonus of ~500 moons at the end of the month distribution. [link] [comments]

Posted: 20 Aug 2020 11:30 AM PDT I can see why oracles are so important, and why using a trustworthy one is valuable, but I can't see why company's won't be able to create their own bespoke ones and avoid paying an oracle's fees. It can't be that hard to write some some code to link the data that you want to the API's of multiple sources can it? If LINK is open source, surely that just makes the risk greater? I've also heard that some people are working on a free oracle anyway, anyone know anything about that? [link] [comments]

Volume in OMG. Going Parabolic Posted: 20 Aug 2020 08:01 PM PDT Normally I don't post on this sub, but look at that volume., The total outstanding coins are 140 million and almost 500 million OMG coins have been traded in 24 hours. I just sold a few at 9, but with that volume who knows. [link] [comments]

Posted: 20 Aug 2020 08:44 AM PDT I just bought my first few nanos and I would like to hear the opinion of critics. What are the cons of nano? After trying it out, it is easy, fast and without fees. But from experience I know if something is too good to be true, it probably is. So what are downsides of Nano? [link] [comments]

Will stablecoins lead to more adoption from retailers? Posted: 20 Aug 2020 04:50 PM PDT Seems that the biggest con of accepting crypto currencies is the volatility, which is largely eliminated with stablecoins. Will these lead to more retailer adoption down the line? Or are other factors like ML/KYC a bigger factor? [link] [comments]
How would a real stock market crash affect bitcoin? Posted: 20 Aug 2020 04:49 PM PDT What happened back in March really was actually a liquidity crises, which is why we seen all assets crash at the same time. Gold, oil, stocks, bonds, bitcoin, etc... People (institutions) were liquidating their assets for the incoming economic changes coming during the pandemic. The federal reserve (and other reserve banks globally) quickly solved this crises by basically flooding the system with money. Everyone is under the impression that the stock market crashed bitcoin, but I'm under the impression that the gold market is actually what crashed bitcoin. Institutions actually sold off their gold days AFTER selling off their stocks, using gold money to buy back stocks at cheaper prices. What's interesting right now is that both gold and stocks are in bull markets. Historically speaking, decades of gold bull markets happen during decades of bear markets in stocks. World wide GDP is plummeting, suggesting that stocks are significantly over valued. I guess my question is, can we have a scenario where bitcoin (as a speculation of gold) can be in a decade long bull market when stocks will be in a decade long bear market? [link] [comments]

What’s the point of transferring Moons to an ETH address? Posted: 20 Aug 2020 06:38 PM PDT I understand what moons are and what they are for. But why would I ever want to "secure" them on an external address? They hold no financial value right? And if I send them, I imagine I lose my weight in polling. Am I missing something?
