    Hi folks,

    I know this is a somewhat provocative question but I still hope to get an honest answer. I started to explore the Ethereum Ecosphere and scrolling through the Dapp and DeFi lists you can find online (such as on defipulse.com etc).

    Even though I absolutely respect the technological achievements in Ethereum and other block chain technologies, my impression is that there not yet any real business happening. It rather seems to be a closed ecosphere e.g. exchanges and wallets and currencies that run on Ethereum but with little connection and "on-top" value to the outside world. Like startups buying the services from other startups.

    I know that banks run blockchain exploration labs and launch a little experiment here and there but it all looks rather experimental instead of serious business.

    Am I completely mistaken with my impression? Can you provide example that demonstrate that actual business is happening on Ethereum?

    How will mining ETH be affected when it transitions from Proof of Work(PoW) to Proof of Stake(PoS)?

    Hello! I've read that ETH will or is transitioning from PoW to PoS. I also know that PoW depends highly on mining.

    Thus, I'm wondering: • Is ETH really making the aforementioned transition? • If so, how will this affect mining ETH?

    Simple Question: How Can I Release All of My ENS Domains And Get My ETH Back?

    MEW shows me the option to "renew" a lot of ENS domains that should have expired months ago.

    I just want to release all of them and get the locked ETH back. It will only be 1 or 2 ETH but that's still meaningful to me. I have asked this multiple times on multiple different forums and never gotten a straight answer.

    It would seem like this should be relatively simple if ENS devs want any real-world adoption at all. I purchase the domains with Mist back in the day not MetaMask if that makes any diff. I don't use Mist any more but could re-download it I suppose.

    ETH, erc20, collectibles

    Long time bitcoiner, exploring ethereum. No, not because of today's pump, have been hodling eth for years. Looked for a Eth Beginners sub, but didn't see one, let me know if this belongs elsewhere.

    Made my metamask wallet, backed up password and mnemonic seed.

    Bought a .crypto web3 domain.

    Linked unstoppable with metamask.

    Initiated transfer.

    What exactly is happening? I understand I will take custody of my domain, but where? Stored on my Eth address that metamask assigned to me?

    Is it a erc20 token? A collectible? Can I send a collectible to an ETH address?

    Some clarity here is appreciated.
