    Trading: Can a quantitative analyzing strategy beat DCA and human trading?

    In the charts you can set the time scale to "All". With the transparent profile of my trades I can prove that I don't speak hot air.

    There was one post on reddit which sparked my interest in trading. On /cc there was a guy who at the beginning of each year invested 1000 $ into the top 10. It's kind of an slow DCA strategy. I had the question: Is there a strategy which can beat this DCA strategy in the crypto market?

    With my background in physics I develeoped an algorithm which used different "physic models". I follow one strategy: The trend is your friend. I created a mathematical model and used statistical methods to quantify my strategy (hence the name quantitiative analysis). I build the strategy around a modified Brownian Motion model. On the small timescale noise is the dominant factor and on the long timescale the time series is dominated by a trend. I filter out noise and perform functional analysis to calculate the expected trend. The strategy is than backtested with historical data over different markets and timelines. I chose the Genesis Vision platform for the trades because I can actually prove my strategy to "outsiders" without revealing my algorithm too much.

    The profit and statistical performance solidifies the strenght of my strategy as you can see on GenesisVision. Even my program was influenced by the corona balck swan event in March the algorithm navigated through the bear market and is in a stronger position than before. Follow the trend using quantitative analysis and cut out human emotion. I'm looking forward where this algorithm is heading to.
