| Is there potential for mining crypto using renewable energy? Posted: 23 Jun 2020 02:47 AM PDT To be more specific, I'm wondering if using solar or wind power to power a few rigs is a profitable option. Since GPU mining might be cheaper than going in for ASICs, are there any resources out there that can point me in the direction of calculating exactly how much power I'll need to turn a profit (let's say $1 million a year, yes it's far fetched but just a hypothetical) and the associated cost to build a solar-powered rig to reach that target?
