How is DappNetwork different than zk-SNARKs and other layer 2 solutions on ethereum

    Posted: 16 Jun 2020 05:53 AM PDT

All the second layer solutions on Ethereum essentially involve running a series of sidechains on which dApps can do all their heavy lifting, while utilizing the Ethereum mainnet as a ledger for public proofs and a liquidity hub. Two major advantages with LiquidChains in this regard are:

    1. LiquidChains come ready with whichever DAPP Network services the developer chooses. While other solutions offer high-throughput, gas-reduced transactions, LiquidChains provide this as well as all trustless functionality such as oracles, IPFS hosting, parallel processing and more.
    2. The mechanism to allow LiquidChains to communicate with one another, as well as the IBC with which they can communicate with Ethereum, is already out there.

The DAPP Network is UNIVERSAL. It's has the necessary components to scale just about any chain, including Ethereum.

With sharding functionality, native decentralized oracles, parallel processing, storage and so much more, the DAPP Network could accelerate Ethereum's push to becoming a key component of various industries, most notable finance.

Whether you're an Ethereum developer, a seasoned DAPP Network veteran or even if you're just curios about understanding elegant systems, we've got you covered in our Universal Guide.

Wallets default gas limit too high?

    Posted: 16 Jun 2020 06:24 PM PDT

    Hi guys,

I want to make a Deposit & Borrow on Compound through InstaDapp.

This act combines 2 different txns into 1:

    • Deposit collateral
    • Borrow Debt

Metamask sets my gas limit to 865 000, which at current prices of around 25 gwei means 4.50$.

Are wallets like Metamask setting gas limit with too big of an insurance over the gas amount needed?

How and where can I see what is the average gas consumed for a transaction of this kind, so I can lower down the limit to reasonable number?

We have ethgasstation to tell us how much gas price to pay, depending on how fast we want the transaction executed.

If there is similar service for popular smart contracts that get mass traction and usage (like basic makerdao and compound features), it will be useful.
