Discussion on Ethereum and the roadmap to Serenity (Eth 2.0) Posted: 06 Jun 2020 03:31 AM PDT This post is meant to be an open, emotionally unbiased, and diverse discussion on the complex dynamic that is Ethereums transition into Ethereum 2.0. I've left some questions I'm interested in hearing answered; however you shouldn't feel confined or obligated to answer any or all of them. Also here are two topical & comprehensive links: Knowledge Base - GitHub Due to many uncertainties surrounding the future of Ethereum these are opinion questions. 1) What are your thoughts on the general transition into a Proof of Stake system? 2) Do you think The Beacon Chain and Ethereum can successfully operate in parallel? 3) If The Beacon Chain fails what do you think the effects would be? What could they be? 4) When do you think Phase 0 will be implemented? 5) Do you think it's possible for Eth to remain live while testing and transitioning is happening on The Beacon Chain? Is it practical? 6) What do you think the price of Ethereum will be if/when Serenity is fully implemented? Thank you for your time, I appreciate it. [link] [comments]

Bittrex KYC wants left profile, straight on, and right profile, like a damn mug shot Posted: 05 Jun 2020 11:03 AM PDT Will not be using Bittrex anymore. They just disabled my account and said the reason is I need to resubmit verification. I've already done this before and was fully verified. But now, they want even more photos and from multiple angles. Required: Please submit the following 3 images: An image of you looking directly at the camera, another image of you looking off to the right, and a final image of you looking off to the left. All 3 photos are required for all requests. Fucking ridiculous they would need three extra photo to verify it's you. My guess is they hired a third party company for facial recognition verification, and this third party is building the ultimate gov database with this. Orwellian bullshit. [link] [comments]

Posted: 05 Jun 2020 06:30 PM PDT I was one of the many people that started investing in crypto when it was on the top... I have to disclose that I am extremely uneducated in this area but I liked the idea behind the crypto. Anyway, somehow during that time Litecoin was popular and that was the one I picked to invest. Obviously, I lost a little bit of money and got out. Today I was thinking about crypto thanks to Reddit and was wondering what is the current status of Litecoin? [link] [comments]

Hypothetical Question: How can I implement crypto currency into hobbies? Posted: 05 Jun 2020 05:41 PM PDT I'm not trying to do an ICO but sometimes I like to wrap my head around complex problems and see how I can adapt crypto into a real world scenario to see if a specific industry can benefit from blockchain, I'm kind of stuck on this one. I always thought it would be cool to fund a hobby through crowdfunding - almost like Patreon but on the blockchain platform My hobby is restoring classic cars, I currently post videos to YouTube, I came up with the following idea to get my subscribers to get more engaged by donating/investing in my restorations (using small unrealistic numbers for easy math): Car: $750 Repairs & Labor: $250 Resale value: $2500 1) Create token "ClassicCoin" 2) I do a crowd sale to raise 35% of the funds ($350) 3) I get a loan from the bank for the other 65% ($650) 3) I buy the car, send it to the repair shop and I'm left with a car that is worth $2500 but I only spent $1000 4) I sell the car in FIAT, pay back the bank and any transfer fees and want to return the profit to investors and do another crowdsale I get stuck around step 4, how can I split the profit among the original investors and start another crowdsale? Here are the ideas I had: 1) Use the fiat to buy my own ClassicCoin and then send it to their wallets 2) skip step 1 creating my own coin and just accept funding through BTC or ETH and send them back a standard % increase for all Does this seem like a good way to structure it? Can anyone think of anything better? If I wanted to do another one I could start another crowdsale, open to new "investors" and the old investors could use their existing ClassicCoin. Anyways this is just a thought - I think blockchain is the future and it would be cool to see builders and creators be able to fund their ideas while also giving back to fans and subscribers if possible [link] [comments]
