Posted: 20 Jun 2020 02:02 PM PDT Started my crypto journey in March 2020 and I just surpassed 0.10 in BTC. Small achievements. My short term goal on setting out was to get to 1 BTC. I must give many thanks to the r/cryptocurrency community for all the education and sharing of advice that has helped me grow along the way! [link] [comments]
Thank you Reddit for launching Moon coin!!!!! Posted: 20 Jun 2020 08:56 PM PDT Thanks Reddit!! The fact that they've launched their own coin on the Ethereum blockchain is beyond revolutionary. It's about time that these big companies start using Noo chain technology to give back to their communities. How much is each Moon coin worth now that it's out? How can we make more moon coin? Posted: 21 Jun 2020 03:15 AM PDT First off, I do apologize if my flair is incorrect. I did read the rules, but I am still unsure of which to choose (apologize, I might just be dumb). Ok, so I've started late last year to buy and sell crypto. I am currently using the luno app as my "base" (not sure which is the correct term), but as things goes, I didn't think it all through, I've lost a bit of money. Luckily not a lot, just tens. So, I want to start fresh since I did not do a lot of research before hand. So here are my 2 (thought it would be more) questions: -what app or "base" can I use to buy, trade and sell my crypto. I don't really like luno because their 'interest' rates are a bit high in my view. Though I'm not sure about others. -what crypto should I start buying and selling? On this point if I can use an example: last year bitcoin was at a high around 190k and a low around 40k (though sadly I missed that). Id rather buy at a low and sell at a high. With bitcoin I see that this could bring in quite the profits. (though luno is like a vampire). Besides bitcoin, what would you recommend to invest in or would it be best to stick with bitcoin. As far as my knowledge goes, my country doesn't use crypto as currency, nor is it common in purchase. So I'm mainly using it as a means for a small income so I'm basing it around that. Again, I do apologize if my post is not correct. Thanks [link] [comments]

Looking For Tools To Track My Crypto Investments Posted: 21 Jun 2020 12:41 AM PDT I want to do a better job of tracking my Crypto investments and have been frustrated by the charts and transactions records of the various exchanges and wallets I've used. I'm looking for ways to better keep up with how my holdings are doing long term, factoring in price increases/decreases, but also DeFi earned interest and staking rewards across several different services. I tried building out my own excel sheet, but it got complicated very quickly. I was curious if anyone has an excel template they really like? Or if there's a service or tool they use that they swear by? [link] [comments]
What crypto do you think will have the best chance of being used as an actual currency? Posted: 20 Jun 2020 03:00 PM PDT I've been researching cryptocurrency a ton lately, and while bitcoin is ubiquitous, it seems like it's primarily viewed as an investment, rather than an actual currency. I know about stable coins, and I find them interesting as well. What cryptocurrency do you think has the biggest case for being used as an actual currency? [link] [comments]

Help me understand Synthetix/other projects that seek to tokenize securities Posted: 20 Jun 2020 04:31 PM PDT I may be missing something pretty big, but I can't find a single thing about dividends in regards to tokenized securities. Will dividends be automatically "reinvested" in a sense, e.g. if I buy an AAPL token, will I receive more APPL token when they pay a dividend? Where does the AAPL token dividend come from, without changing the float of the token (making more or less tokens)? Thanks for helping me out [link] [comments]

The Story Of My First Bitcoin. (Late 2013) Posted: 20 Jun 2020 10:14 AM PDT Please don't take this as financial advise. Just my own thoughts on the market. The story of my first Bitcoin. I feel as it's an important time to tell again. Hopefully others can learn from my mistakes. In late 2013 (I was 22 at the time) my brother told me all about this new type of internet money, that no single entity controlled, it intrigued me. I decided to cash in the change I had been collecting for the past year to buy my first bitcoin at $740 Canadian. Saw it rise to over $1000 USD then the Mt.Gox hack happened.. It nose dived to $200 USD and for about 2 years it felt like it did absolutely nothing.. Then it started to rise like a phoenix from the ashes. But I was uneducated on bitcoin and it's halvings at the time. It hit around $1000 USD again, I had decided I would sell out of .7 because I was in profit and wasn't sure if a huge hack would happen again. I bought CSGO skins sigh (digital video games skins) this was early 2017. I had to watch bitcoin triumphantly rise to $20,000 USD, thinking what have I done!! I held this thing for years!! The point I'm trying to make is don't make the same mistake I did. Our previous ATH will be crushed just like every past one. I thought I would never be able to buy another bitcoin again but I was blessed with this bear market. $20,000 will be just like $1,000 was in 2017. I took it as an opportunity to rewrite my past mistake. If you can financially, please Hodl strong my friends. We are so close to something spectacular. [link] [comments]

Posted: 21 Jun 2020 01:49 AM PDT So, I'm creating a puzzle, more for fun than anything (the prize is not that big). The basic idea is that after some initial steps the player can find 5-10 clues that correspond with 5-10 chunks of a private key. When these chunks are arranged in the correct order, the full private key should unlock the prize. However, I believe someone could easily program a bruteforce attack to try every arrangement of the chunks. I think the combinations of 10 clues = 10! = 3628800 (which could probably be bruteforced very quickly), I might be wrong here. So, how can I avoid this "cheating" technique? I thought about putting the chunks through a hash function, but I guess a script could easily be written to perform this if the hash function is known. I also want to avoid any typing of stupidly long strings into hashing tools etc, or making the solving too clumsy and annoying for noobs. Any ideas on how I could achieve this, so that all the clues need to be solved properly? [link] [comments] |
