I once had 880 ether in my account

    Posted: 14 May 2020 07:42 AM PDT

I bought it at $0.8 per ether.

I was going on a date and was booking a hotel and was a little short on cash so I emptied my crypto account and took out about €200.

I intended on replacing it when I got paid, I thought I had bought back in and only realised I hadn't when It started sky rocketing, I kept waiting for a drop in price to buy back in and never bit the bullet. Has anyone a similar tale of woe?

Eth 2.0 last Dev call : Official Multiclient in June ?

    Posted: 14 May 2020 10:42 AM PDT

"Given the current stability, will start working on coordinating a multiclient testnet for v0.12, with 16k genesis validators, and maybe 3 different clients at genesis. Could do dry-run deposit contract ceremony. Target June for this, potentially to allow clients to update to v0.12."

Privacy is dead. Long live data ownership.

Heya. Just wrote a long essay on the topic of the failings of the privacy and open data movements. And why we need to reframe everything around data ownership in order to get our privacy and dignity back from Silicon Valley. Do give it a read. (And then, yes, proceed to tell me how stupid I am!) https://medium.com/streamrblog/privacy-is-dead-long-live-data-ownership-7e5a354e1368

Yesterday, more than half of the transactions on Rinkeby testnet were gasless meta transactions going through the Ethereum Gas Station Network. Today, many blocks are almost entirely full of GSN transactions. This summer on mainnet.

Someone burned $100 on SmokeSignal. The message topic is "games". The agent has offered a $100 reward.

    Posted: 14 May 2020 04:29 AM PDT

The SmokeSignal post is short and sweet:

I will send 100$ in DAI to the first ethereum address that will post a message on SmokeSignal which will be censored from the SmokeSignal mirror at https://foundrydao.com/smokesignal/app/#.

    FAQs

How will you know that the message was posted if it gets removed from the website?

It will be visible on the blockchain.

How do I know that you will really send me the money?

You don't. But I am the guy who just burned 100$ to post this message.

We don't know who this guy is. But as a developer of SmokeSignal, I am eager to see this play out. I wrote about some interesting implications of his post here when he first posted it, and more recently I verified he's still around and watching. I'm now posting this to hopefully get some engagement for this guy.

We are on the cusp of uncensorable, immutable social platforms. Let's see where the boundaries lie.

    Framework for technical analysis

    Posted: 14 May 2020 09:18 AM PDT

Hello! I am the main developer of sphoin.app, a webapp/framework for fast technical analysis with visual backtesting. It also provides API endpoints for further automatisation process. I started this project 1 year ago out of personal need and for the past 6 months I am working to share it with you guys.

The main concept of sphoin.app are 5 prebuild studies that can be applied to several technical indicators or patterns. After computing some studies you can sum them to see positive or negative results. You need account for demo and api.

What do you think of it?
