Rx570 GPUS heat transfer issues Posted: 13 Apr 2020 08:50 AM PDT Hi All, I have a rig with five Rx570 cards. All from different sources. Four of them have been generally good on temps, and one much worse (most stay at 28% fan speed, one is at 90%). Recently A second card has started behaving badly in a similar way, and on one hot day recently claymore shut down the two bad cards at 90C. I have tried taking off the coolers and cleaning completely with alcohol, and using thermal grizzly, then tightening the four screws cross star, but the problem persists with both cards. Basically it is bad, as I can touch the heat pipe with my finger, and NOT get burnt, so the heat is not transferring properly to it. (on the other three cards, the heat pipe is burning, which I understand is proper) Is it possible that either the boards or the heatsink were bent somehow? I also did not clean or do anything to the pads that were on some of the memory chips. I am not sure if this is a factor. Does anyone have an idea of how to fix these two cards?
