Ethereum contact tracing app for COVID? Posted: 17 Apr 2020 05:55 PM PDT With the news of these tracing apps being developed, I've been wondering if any Eth developers have been tackling this problem? Or even just musing about it as a potential solution to the privacy issues. I'm not the most knowledgeable person, but it seems to me that zero knowledge proof with zksnarks etc. could be used to allow people to be notified if they were in contact with someone who tested positive, without identifying people to the company/government, or the other people using the app. Does this sound possible to any devs here? My project: Voxel based NFTs than anyone can create Posted: 17 Apr 2020 07:10 AM PDT I'm a big fan of the things that people make with voxels but I felt that existing voxel apps in the dApp space put too much focus on owning virtual "land" before being able to build anything. The artificial scarcity makes the tokens more valuable but also makes the barrier to entry much higher. I created Polytope as a response to this — check it out if you're interested! It uses web3js, an ERC721 contract, and a market contract. The voxel content of an item is hashed to get the ERC721 token id. Feedback is welcome. [link] [comments]
Platform for people to connect anonymously in a decentralized fashion? Posted: 17 Apr 2020 03:55 PM PDT Can anybody think of an existing platform that's transparent and decentralized, that would allow people to connect with different groups anonymously? [link] [comments]
