1 Million Subscriber Giveaway Thread Posted: 18 Apr 2020 11:11 AM PDT In the next day or so we will pass one million subscribers for this subreddit, so in celebration we are going to do a one million satoshi giveaway. In order to participate in this giveaway all you need is:
For instance, these would be valid entries:
These would not be valid entries:
We will leave this thread up and stickied for a few days, until midnight UTC Wed Apr 22, at which point comments will be locked. We will take the hash of Bitcoin block # 627300, then take the last four characters of that hash, which we will convert from hex to base10. That number will determine who the winners are in terms of who is closest with their guess. For instance for Bitcoin block # 626586, the hash is 000000000000000000112c05838a75774d333fdccfa52e6f1032687e1004772d , the last four characters are 772d, which if taken as a hex number and converted to base10 is 30509. tl;dr just guess a number between 0-65535 and the winner will be randomly selected by bitcoin miners For the prizes, I will donate:
However if any other individuals or businesses would like to donate to increase the prizes please reach out via modmail, and you can do so anonymously or nonymously. [link] [comments]

Hacker that hacked Dforce for $25m is trying to launder the money through aave right now. Posted: 19 Apr 2020 02:02 AM PDT https://www.coindesk.com/attacker-drains-decentralized-protocol-dforce-of-25m-in-weekend-attack The stolen funds are being laundered through Aave right now. https://etherscan.io/tx/0x9a133db4bd7846909f100f71fdf69c56a8acaeccf4f7e066d12612f896ce0f01 Aave has not made any comments about it, in fact according to https://defipulse.com/ Aave's locked assets have increased by 20% today, due to this transaction. edit: In possibly related news, on aave right now, The SNX token APR spike from 20% to 60% instantaneously when this transaction happened. ChainLink (LINK) dump incoming? Posted: 18 Apr 2020 03:09 PM PDT Two days ago i was reading this post: I also found this post where you can see how developer started dumping huge amounts of LINK token when LINK reached the same BTC price where we are now. https://www.reddit.com/r/Buttcoin/comments/cnnlj9/chainlink_devs_unexplicitly_managed_to_sell_the/ I agree with everything said in the previous posts so i searched for developer address which hold at least 65% of supply. In last 24-48 hours i noticed large coin mixing from one address to another what is probably done to prevent sending coins direct to exchanges. Right now we are at the peek of the pump and it seams to me that he is preparing for another dump. Now when we have derivatives and we are able to short altcoins with leverage, this could make us a lot of money if we open position before he start to dump. On March 12 the price went from $3,80 all the way down to $0,0001 so while this is probably the most overpriced coin, its also the coin that can dump to zero in 24 hours since we already seen this a month ago. Any thoughts? [link] [comments]

What do you think the total asset value of this sub is? Posted: 18 Apr 2020 08:26 PM PDT We're about 50 members from 1 million subscribers, which begs the question, how much crypto do you think we all have together? I know a large proportion will be lurkers who own none, but there are going to be a few whales, and more people like me who have anywhere from 0.5 BTC worth of crypto to 5 BTC worth. I know that there's no real way to tell but I think it would be a cool thought experiment. [link] [comments]

Posted: 18 Apr 2020 09:21 PM PDT I never had a problem in the past but when I did they immediately said it was my fault -that maybe I redeemed the card without noticing or that my account didn't allow to redeem two cards in a row-. It was a Netflix card and I have contacted Netflix three times and first they said the card wasn't activated and then that it was redeemed on february -I purchased on april-. It's been like 20 days and communication not only has been poorly but disrespectful. I dont know they they dont contact Netflix themselves. I do it and then they don't believe me. Meanwhile I not only lost 60 dollars but also my time and got a lot of stress on this and on top of that was called a scammer and liar on reddit by them. Someone had a similar experience? what did you do? [link] [comments]

Daily Discussion: TrueUSD TUSD Posted: 18 Apr 2020 12:39 PM PDT -Today's Crypto of the Day is TrueUSD TUSD, and it's current price is $0.9999. DUE TO SOME PERSONAL ISSUES, I AM TEMPORARILY BEHIND ON FOLLOW UP POSTS. I WILL EVENTUALLY CATCH UP AND POST MY OPINIONS ON ALL OF THEM. I AM NOT TRYING TO MAKE LOW EFFORT POSTS AND WILL DO MY BEST TO POST A NEW DISCUSSION DAILY FOR A WHILE. THANK YOU FOR YOUR UNDERSTANDING. -Since 2/18/20, I have posted a crypto/asset of the day for discussion. I typically begin by posting the current price, as well as the brief CoinMarketCap summary. If there is a video featuring it on Coin Bureau, I also post that. After a week or so, I usually post replies to some of the posts, and I also add an overall summary of my thoughts, if I plan to hold any, and is so how much. -I strongly encourage everyone to follow up on past discussions and you can still make comments on them. There is a lot of valuable information on many of these posts, so please check them out as you have time. You may learn a lot regarding some of these projects. I know I certainly did! https://www.reddit.com/r/CryptoCurrency/search?q=author%3Ajoenorwood77&restrict_sr=on -My first month or so I featured projects listed on some of the main exchanges. Now I plan to focus on the top 100 on CoinMarketCap. After that I expect to broaden to the top 200, and then some random moonshots. I will eventually create a post looking for any projects I should feature before I eventually close this project. -Just because I feature a project does not mean I like it. I feel discussion on bad projects are just as important as the good ones. It is useful to hear pros and cons about every project, even if you are simply playing devils advocate. -I would say a perfect reply would include at least one pro and at least one con for the project. However, I still feel it is acceptable if you post only pros or cons. If your post does not have any substance to it, "this coin is a scam", "avoid this shitcoin", "this coin will moon to $1000 by the end of 2020", then I will just assume you are posting for personal gain rather than helping the community. If you simply downvote the post without any comments, the only thing you accomplish is having less people view the post. I do not care about Reddit Karma, but if a post drops to zero early on, it can be extremely difficult for people to even find these discussions (which I assume is your intention). -These posts are not meant to be financial advice, but instead to be an educational discussion. Everyone is responsible for doing their own research. For each project, I am interested in learning if you have any investment in it, and if so, about what percentage of your portfolio does it carry. Most importantly, what should we all know; good, bad, and indifferent, about this project? [link] [comments]

What Would Happen if The USA and China Wanted to Destroy Bitcoin? Posted: 18 Apr 2020 09:51 PM PDT Hey Good Folks and HODL'rs of r/CryptoCurrency, I have had a long burning question at the back of my mind for a few weeks now, and I personally don't know anyone who is informed enough to discuss this with. So I have turned to you guys (I hope this isn't a mistake... lol). Situation: What would happen if countries such as The USA, China, Korea etc. wanted to destroy Bitcoin? Hypothetically, if the USA wanted to try and destroy Bitcoin by making it illegal, banning US citizens from buying/owning BTC; or even worse, use the FED to print Trillions of $'s and buying up all the Hash power and majority of BTC on the market, what would stop them from doing so? Over the weeks I have thought of a few counter arguments and ideas what would happen in response to situation. Please add your insight and correct me if I'm wrong:
