Posted: 18 Apr 2020 10:02 AM PDT Hello everyone, I hope you don't mind a post about me and my journey into crypto. I was first attracted to Bitcoin due to the gains in 2017, and kept hearing about how this weird internet money kept going up and up in value triggered the gamblers instinct in me. I started buying Bitcoin and a few "shitcoins" so to speak, coins that were shilled by YouTubers and people on Twitter and because of their low market cap I thought I could make a quick buck. The next stage of my journey saw me sell these low cap coins at a loss and put everything into Bitcoin as I thought this is surely the safest move? and I also fell for the BTC maxi propoganda and started seeing everything as a scam. However, Bitcoin also introduced me to Austrian economics and I started reading books by people like Rothbard and Mises. This is where the BTC party line started to not make sense, I started questioning how can we say Bitcoin (BTC) is a store of value or compare it to gold when they don't want to use Bitcoin as a medium of exchange. I asked this question on r/bitcoin and most replies were negative saying f*ck off to bcash and also people saying why would they spend their Bitcoin now when it's going to be worth so much more in a year or two. I answered back objectively I thought and said surely we only gain value by Bitcoin being used and adopted and there was nothing wrong with spending and replacing what you had spent however this only further enraged people and the post was eventually deleted. Surely I am not alone in thinking the economic arguments of BTC and the 1mb limit simply do not make any sense, and I can't work out why people chose this path!? I have been invested in BCH for a couple of months now, lurking and watching the community debates and being convinced to shapeshift all my BTC into BCH this past week. The difference in the communities is night and day and I must say I feel much more aligned with the values on here than on r/bitcoin. I have found it interesting watching the Bitcoin ABC debate take place recently and although at times it has gotten pretty serious I only see it coming from a place of passion for BCH from both sides and everyone just wants to see Bitcoin Cash succeed and become a peer to peer electronic cash system that can scale for the World. I genuinely hope both Bitcoin ABC and Bitcoin Cash Node amongst others are fully funded through flipstarter and I am delighted to say I have made my first donations in the BCH space, contributing to both! I am embarrassed to say that I did come into crypto for gains however I am now more focused in being involved in the debates and efforts to help BCH scale and help the World have a viable alternative to the fiat monopolies we have currently. I am also sorry to this community for buying the BTC propaganda however I feel better knowing that I have found this community through my own efforts and education and have never felt more aligned with anything in my life. Thank you to everyone who is helping to make Bitcoin cash again! [link] [comments]

I am 100% invested in BCH (also) Posted: 18 Apr 2020 03:41 PM PDT Not sure who this is for but here goes. I've been buying Bitcoin (now called Bitcoin Cash) since 2013. Against all advise I've put everything into Bitcoin. I was devastated when SegShit was activated and hate people like u/nullc and Adam Back with all my soul. I've found Bitcoin to be a horrible thing in my social life. It's like an objective IQ test. People that don't understand it and don't want to (u/nullc) are destined to be our enemy. Through no fault of their own, most people are just too dumb to understand. Financially it's been by far the greatest decision I've ever made but it kills me to see family and friends still struggling 9-5. Had only they listened to me we all would be better off. So, Bitcoin is a blessing and a curse. It's given me financial freedom and freedom from the state but cost a lot in terms of relationships. [link] [comments]

Posted: 19 Apr 2020 02:05 AM PDT Hi, I'm quite new here, but lurker since few months so I know the endless debate. Anyway, I didn't buy bch yet but I own a little bit of btc (and unimportant amount of other coins). I'd like to know your personal opinion: if you should start a portfolio from zero would you put both bch and btc? which ratio between bch and btc would you like to keep? and why? I don't need advise but simply to know what people think about. [link] [comments]
