    Dharma - DeFi Simplified

    Posted: 08 Mar 2020 10:23 AM PDT

I am writing this post out of an abundance of appreciation for DeFi experience that Dharma has created. I have been in the Ethereum spaces for quite a few years now and have been constantly showing my friends what cool things Ethereum has to offer. Finally, it seems something is sticking. Dharma is simplified, transparent and streamlines on/off ramps into the crypto space. If you aren't already using Dharma's app or site, let me tell you why its awesome.

    1) On-ramp

No Fees on debit deposits. This is huge. Right now, its nearly impossible to buy DAI with USD without some type of swap fee or debit fee. My route was buying USDC on coinbase then swapping to DAI. I almost always lost a little USD up front, but mostly this is just a pain in the butt. Also, ACH (bank) deposits are coming soon.

    2) Off-ramp

Withdrawal directly to your bank account! This is pretty self explanatory, but you don't have to swap your DAI back to USD on an exchange. Being able to participate in DeFi without having to ever touch an exchange is freaking fantastic.

    3) UX

Have you seen it? Holy crap, its so aesthetically pleasing that I wish I could set my Dharma page as my desktop background. I can sit and stare at my money growing all day.

    4) Transparency - Simplicity

Just breeze through the FAQs. They are up front about everything. Fully explaining the risks and answering all questions in layman's terms. This is helps clear the ominous cloud which most people see when I say "crypto". These explanations are written very well and put people at ease when first getting involved. Additionally, up front with their financial model (1/10 of the percentage you earn).

    5) Awesome team

These guys and gals are not only using the latest technologies to help secure and make your interaction with them easy, but are extremely committed to the success of Dharma. I have spoke to Brendan, Rachael and the CEO personally and every interaction was extremely pleasant.

Our project guide is dumb as fuck. Help out.

We chose to create a decentralized platform for car rental service as our project. Basically it includes the owner and the customer agreeing across the network on smart contracts to complete the transaction.

The following questions were posed during the presentation and I have no clue how to answer them :

1.) If you require security and transparency, why not use encryption standards? why do u need a blockchain?

2.) Why do u need a blockchain to create a p2p decentralized distributed system? How were then the older generation P2P decentralized networks made?

3.) "It feels as if u guys used a blockchain for the sake of using it".
