Why nobody is talking about the scam Enigma team pulled?

    Posted: 28 Mar 2020 03:25 PM PDT

They created a new coin (scrt/secret) in their mainnet. But they are refusing to swap Eng tokens with new SCRT tokens. And they preminted their new SCRT tokens and distribruted it to validators. Right now ENG tokens haven't any function or value. They only accepted to pay ico investors their money (SEC agreement). I am baffled why everyone is silent about their action. Ä°sn't this one of the most fraudulent thing ever happened in crypto market?

Is it possible that everything thing I had was stolen?

    Posted: 28 Mar 2020 10:54 AM PDT

TLDR: I had an estimated $5k worth of crypto that I hadn't touched in 2 years disappear.

After the huge spike and crash in early 2017, I kind of lost intrest in the crypto game. My portfolio dwindled down from $25k value to about $6-7k. I knew and understood the risks of the game and at that time I actually only had about $3k of my own money in the game. I remember it being something like 0.3 BTC, 3k Ripple, 3k Stellar... a bunch of other stuff. When Bitgrail went under, I knew I had lost something like $1k there. When QuadrigaCX went down I think I lost about $1k there.

I didnt really worry about it much, I didnt need the money too bad and I figured whatever was left was a lottery ticket if things took off again. Yesterday I tried to get a handle on what I actually had left. Nevermind losing my old 2FA account so having to be re IDed on every exchange and digging through piles of old paper to find passphrases to mobile wallets. In the end I turned up with $130. All on exchanges like Binance and Bittrex.

I remember placing the majority of my btc and ripple onto my mobile wallets, either Jaxx or MyCelium. But they are completely 100% empty. That seems strange that there is not a crumb left in there. Did those companies get hacked and I missed it?

Either way unless I am forgetting about another exchange that I was using I think its all gone. Any tips is appreciated.

Save your, "should have used cold storage". I know.

In an effort to use the time at home effectively I am looking for recommendations that will help expand my knowledge on these topics, for personal interest as well as gaining new skills to be more employable. I am sure many will benefit from the communities feedback here. From short courses, long courses, free, paid etc.. it would be great to know your thoughts.

Ok guys help me lose some cash

    Posted: 28 Mar 2020 08:01 AM PDT

I posted this over in r/cryptomoonshots too but nobody seems to be awake over there yet, so I'll ask it here. I've just set up and funded my first wallet and crypto exchange account and I want to buy a low cost, high risk/reward coin. We aren't talking a lot of money so please feel free to throw caution to the wind with your recommendations. I want to be worth a few hundred million by Monday morning please.

    Thanks!

Discussion of the Day: OmiseGO OMG

    Posted: 28 Mar 2020 05:12 PM PDT

-Today's Crypto of the Day is OmiseGO OMG, and it's current price is $0.5019.

-Initially, since my first crypto of the day post on 2/18/20, I waited to post specific information on each project until people made posts. I waited to help prevent bias. Based on feedback, I now post information early to show I am not going for low effort posts, and actually trying to facilitate qualify discussions. Please feel free to search for my other posts, to see the information I and others have added.

-So far, I have featured all 20 crypto from Coinbase, 26 from Coinbase Pro, and 5 from Gemini. I now plan to finish the remaining ones on Binance US, Kraken, and others. Just because I feature a project does not mean I like it. I feel discussion on bad projects are just as important as the good ones. It is useful to hear pros and cons about every project, even if you are simply playing devils advocate.

-These posts are not meant to be financial advice, but instead to be an educational discussion. Everyone is responsible for doing their own research. For each project, I am interested in learning if you have any investment in it, and if so, about what percentage of your portfolio does it carry. Most importantly, what should we all know; good, bad, and indifferent, about this project?

-My challenge to each of you is to learn and post about projects you do not currently hold. It is easy for anyone to shill a coin they are trying to make a profit on, or to simply downvote and troll something they do not. As a community, let's all try to encourage intellectual discussion on any and all projects out there. We can all learn a lot from each other if we try...
