Seriously, newbs: Coinbase gain/loss reports are not accurate for taxes if you transferred your coins into Coinbase Pro. Pro really does mean you'd better be ready to go pro (including in your handling of the taxes).

    Posted: 26 Mar 2020 10:16 PM PDT

Pro traders already know this and are trading enough volume to justify the cost of third party tax calculation services, but it's easy for a casual to think it would be fun to move their meager amount of coins into Coinbase Pro, do a few dozen transactions of partial amounts over the year, and then find themselves having to do tax preparation by either paying a service (which, for a casual, can cost more than the net gains from trading) or calculating manually (which can be multiple entries per transaction since a transaction of partial coins will likely involve multiple different cost bases). If you're not truly going pro, don't try to fool yourself into thinking the "pro" platform would be better.

Angry warlords is the first blockchain game I've played that i can't tell it's not just a regular app. The game play is smooth and you can earn tokens through completing levels, very addicting.. thought I'd share how far blockchain games have come in a few years.

The Tether Scam Does It Again

    Posted: 27 Mar 2020 02:54 AM PDT

This cancer is going to kill the crypto market.

6+ billions unbacked dollars to pump and dump on those who put in real money.

Tether isn't money, it's a fraud. Make sure you aren't the last one holding it when it all come crushing down.

If you think this isn't serious, have a look at what happened to the Liberty Reserve Dollar.

    42-Coin Friday: 27/3/2020

    Posted: 26 Mar 2020 02:24 PM PDT

Two major events have gone un-noticed by Ordinary People.

The first was the slow shift, after the GFC, to a global economy run on debt – on printed money. And in recent years, the discussions of MMT – Modern Monetary Theory: free money for all – has gone equally un-noticed.

The second, almost totally overshadowed by the social and medical aspects of the pandemic, has been the sudden and almost total implementation of 80% of What MMT Is.

    Now a prediction:

the present discussion goes: we lockdown; business is shut down; we disburse massive stimulus; we lift the lockdown when the virus is defeated; business begins to recover. But it's been notable since the outset that discussions of It All have been on a nation-by-nation basis. No one has mentioned slums and refugee camps, which are places largely beyond the range of governments.

So, what if the virus entrenches itself in such places? When the lockdown is lifted/stimulus is disbursed, but the virus is still present, what happens?

The answer is: more lockdowns; more stimulus. By Christmas, the entire global economy may be operating on Gubmint funds.

    Hyperinflation!
