Discussion of the Day; VeChain VET Posted: 22 Mar 2020 04:54 PM PDT -Today's Crypto of the Day is VeChain VET, and it's current price is $0.0026. -Initially, since my first crypto of the day post on 2/18/20, I waited to post specific information on each project until people made posts. I waited to help prevent bias. Based on feedback, I now post information early to show I am not going for low effort posts, and actually trying to facilitate qualify discussions. Please feel free to search for my other posts, to see the information I and others have added. -So far, I have featured all 20 crypto from Coinbase, 26 from Coinbase Pro, and 5 from Gemini. I now plan to finish the remaining ones on Binance US, Kraken, and others. Just because I feature a project does not mean I like it. I feel discussion on bad projects are just as important as the good ones. It is useful to hear pros and cons about every project, even if you are simply playing devils advocate. -These posts are not meant to be financial advice, but instead to be an educational discussion. Everyone is responsible for doing their own research. For each project, I am interested in learning if you have any investment in it, and if so, about what percentage of your portfolio does it carry. Most importantly, what should we all know; good, bad, and indifferent, about this project? -My challenge to each of you is to learn and post about projects you do not currently hold. It is easy for anyone to shill a coin they are trying to make a profit on, or to simply downvote and troll something they do not. As a community, let's all try to encourage intellectual discussion on any and all projects out there. We can all learn a lot from each other if we try... [link] [comments]

I'm building a DeFi lego platform. Hope to hear some feedback. Posted: 23 Mar 2020 03:24 AM PDT Hi guys, I'm working on a project that is built for DeFi users. Basically, this is a platform where users can put multiple strategies across different DeFi protocols into one transaction. If you've heard about DeFiZap, imagine this tool allows you to create your own Zap and also put different Zaps together into one tx. So for example, say you have some ethers, and you wanna invest them in Uniswap ETH/DAI pool and supply USDC on Compound. To make this happen, you will:
With our solution, user can package step 1-4 into one transaction.
Users can create any DeFi combo as they wish. This is just one example to demonstrate the idea. The core value of our project is to provide flexibility for users to combine different DeFi strategies and save their time & gas. Currently, creating customized DeFi combo into one transaction is only possible if you know how to code. We want to break the barrier of coding skill so that users can focus on creating DeFi strategies. This is our first test transaction for reference. https://etherscan.io/tx/0x0887257ac7bb94fc1e4f9a3ab975b8a2571371043a22bde91c49b069e2263a8f We are working on the smart contract at the moment. Frontend is coming soon. What do you think about this platform? Any feedback is appreciated. [link] [comments]

Posted: 23 Mar 2020 01:51 AM PDT Traditional assets are crashing, people losing faith in banks / governments / stocks / oil People looking for other places to park their money. Remember how much money there is in this world. https://howmuch.net/articles/worlds-money-in-perspective-2018 And think about how big gambling is, Vegas, Macau etc. Then there is all the online gambling. World gambling statistics show that around 26% of the population gamble. https://www.casino.org/gambling-statistics/ Alot of old people (sadly) will be die, money then going to the younger, more tech savvy. The older generations like physical assets like gold and silver, they can see it, hold it. Understand it. Younger people are Much more digital and collect digital assets like Pokemon go or achievements on steam. And then there is the self isolation... What do you do when you're self isolated? Turn to technology. [link] [comments]

Newbie: What’s a good Crypto that I can use in real life? Posted: 22 Mar 2020 07:12 AM PDT I'm in the US. What is a good coin that is more widely used in "real life"? Looking to diversify away from banks and the dollar. Venezuela looks strong in Dash Coin, but that seems undeveloped in the Midwest. [link] [comments]

Posted: 22 Mar 2020 11:27 PM PDT Hi Crypto Community, Is anyone else here from Australia and have any experience or knowledge in reporting cryptocurrency gains, losses, purchases, etc? How often should we report and how accurate do we have to be? Do we have to let the government know exactly what we are holding and how much and every single little trade we do? Does anybody know of any good Tax Agents, Software, Youtubers that are Australian based and tailored to crypto taxing in Australia? I have been HODLing since 2017 and not reported once... I know this was very foolish of me, but I'm trying to be a better citizen now and confess my heavy bags to the Australian Government. Thank you in advance! [link] [comments]

How does one reconcile dust on their taxes? Posted: 22 Mar 2020 09:02 PM PDT As someone who has mined and traded crypto currency in the past few years I have accumulated some dust on various exchanges (one that has gone belly up and the other now requires KYC and I have no interest in giving them my information). I have reported and filed my taxes on all of my crypto and the closing statements from Bitcoin.tax reflect said dust. So how do I go about disposing of this dust with respect to my taxes? Posted: 22 Mar 2020 08:48 PM PDT I realize I took out money from my astral wallet and exchanged it using coinbase. So, the transactions are there. I just don't know the exact amount of XLM I had and my profit made once I sold. Granted I was only putting in chump change so I recall making like a one time trade, sold all my XLM and made like around $60. I had like around 500 coins at the time sold them because fate and im glad because the wallet shut down and I had no idea. I just barely started looking into this again. This was all in 2018 btw.
