Roger Ver:"The endgame for #Bitcoin "hodlers" is selling their coins at a higher price for more fiat. The endgame for #BitcoinCash users is to replace the entire financial system so that fiat is irrelevant."

Couple of weeks ago I introduced my trainer to Bitcoin Cash. He called today about the price drop and asked where he can buy BCH. So we made a deal... sold me 4 sessions for 1 BCH. I spent and reoplaced!

    Posted: 12 Mar 2020 03:12 PM PDT

I paid $170 for BCH. he charges $160 for 4 sessions.

Pretty happy about my first peer 2 peer economic transaction!!

the transaction was instant and near free.

will show him how to use purse.io as well.

"Bitcoin is P2P cash. And if it were allowed to actually BE that by its devs and Blockstream Inc., it wouldn’t be suffering so badly because people will be using it all over the world for commerce and as an alternative currency to traditional markets. Remember those days Erik?"

The downfall of Bitcoin is caused by the fact that you can't buy food with it.

I should have seen this coming earlier. I see millions of reasons popping up everywhere why crypto is falling massively in price. The reason is simple though. Millions of people are in lock down, have to close shops, can't go to work, and are worried about how they are going to financially survive in the following months, and you cannot buy anything essential with Bitcoin. No bread, no toilet paper.

This might be it, the moment of truth for crypto. Was offering to buy cocktails, top up your phone, buy with discount on amazon enough to keep crypto alive after this panic sell? Or will the trust in crypto replacing fiat be damaged in a way that together with the halvening of btc and bch we will be thrown back years again and will need five more years to recover from this hit?

Damn, i was never pessimistic in the last three years but this is making me wonder. Corona and the halvening in the same year, this really sucks.

    Sorry for the depressing analysis.

Chancellor on brink of hyping second strain of headlice as excuse to continue quantitative easing

It’s proven beyond doubt now that Bitcoin is not a gold-like hedge, but a high risk asset class that’s first in line to be sold even before normal stocks. The “store of value” side is now completely debunked in addition to the “everyone needs to run a non-mining full node” side.

I don't mean to shit-talk, but given that Toilet Paper has proven to be a better Store of Value than Bitcoin, I came up with a solution for building Lightning Network on top of Toilet Paper.

To put Bitcoin Core (BTC) into Perspective: It's devastating and I feel sad for all new users, who have been duped into believing that BTC was a safe asset. The price drop wouldn't be that harsh if BTC where not addicted to fiat, but being used for payments. BCH fixes this!
