XFX RX 5600 XT Ethereum Hashrate and Power Usage Posted: 23 Feb 2020 03:51 PM PST I just picked up an XFX RX 5600 XT and have been doing some testing on mining Ethereum. To isolate the GPU and get the most accurate at the wall power reading I used 2 Corsair RM1000x 1000 watt power supplies. My test bench has an Asus Mining Expert motherboard which allows for multiple power supplies to be utilized. One power supply is powering the CPU, motherboard and Sata hard drive and the other is powering the GPU and riser. I used the MorePowerTool to allow the core voltage to be lowered below 800. In my tests I was able to lower the voltage all the way down to 700 and core to 1200 without any noticeable change in hash rate. For monitoring power usage I used a Rosewill power meter/monitor as shown in picture. At each setting I let things run for minimum of 2 hours and recorded range on the power meter. I show the low and high in the chart below. *****Note At voltages under 800 mv system ran stable as long as I didn't do ANYTHING else. Simple things like taking screenshots or surfing the internet would cause a system crash. As long as I started the miner and then didn't touch anything system ran just fine. Most Profitable mining setup with 0 electricity cost Posted: 23 Feb 2020 05:43 PM PST I am looking to get into mining, started mining on my personal pc a couple weeks ago, in a more serious fashion as I do not need to pay for electricity and I believe that we are about to see a good run up in crypto prices. I was wondering what would be the most profitable set up to get, if you do not care about electricity prices but do want to keep the sound to a minimum. So far I've primarily looked at the nvidia p100-106 gpu's as they can be run fanless and are also relatively easy to get for a decent price. Any advice is greatly appreciated! how does reward system works on 2miners?
