Came across this interview with the CEO of VectorspaceAI ($VXV) on the All Things Interesting Podcast. Thought it was worth sharing for anyone interesting

    Posted: 23 Feb 2020 07:14 PM PST

Hey everyone, this was posted over in r/LanguageTechnology a couple of days ago, and is an interview with the CEO of VectorspaceAI, Kasian Franks, from 2019.

I'm not interested in blatantly shilling this project (but in the interests of transparency, I do hold some of these tokens, but I believe everyone should do their own research on any project they're interested in), but I did find it interesting to listen to.

I was surprised to find that it wasn't posted in this sub-reddit though, from what I could find.

Anyway, here's the link (hopefully it's right - I'm posting from mobile), and I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did:

BCH danger of hybrid POW - node fails to sync

    Posted: 24 Feb 2020 12:54 AM PST

    https://np.reddit.com/r/btc/comments/f8h5ia/my_bitcoin_abc_is_stuck_on_block_609161_other/

This is the danger of using a hybrid POW consensus system. It might be surprising but BCH Core decided to finalize all blocks once their observed depth is 11. This can result in the network splitting and might cause nodes not not sync properly after an upgrade. Imagine if this happened to an economically important node and some troll miner decided to grow some obscure fork?

Perlin Network and the International Chamber of Commerce - Revolutionising World Trade

    Posted: 24 Feb 2020 04:39 AM PST

    This is very exciting:

International Chamber of Commerce have fully embraced Perlin and constantly tweet about them and their solutions.

They are unrolling Perlin for their 45m members and are introducing Perlin Smart contracts for official trade regulations in Q3 - Incoterms2020.

This means that companies will HAVE to use Perlin Smart contracts to trade via the ICC - which is written in to law. See below:

"Incoterms® 2020 are the new International Trading terms that are set to be published by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC).

    What are Incoterms®?

Incoterms® are globally recognized terms of global trade. When buying and selling products Internationally companies abide by set Incoterms® to clearly define when costs and risks are legally transferred from the seller to the buyer."

    https://iccwbo.org/media-wall/news-speeches/incoterms-rules-2020-blockchain-dorjee-sun-dap-fob-fca-exw-cfr-cpt/

Mainnet release by end of March and the ICC have already trialled $20m iron ore transaction with them.

For those who would like to know more about the ICC, their blockchain stance and Perlin.

What impact will the COVID-19 virus have on crypto currencies?

    Posted: 24 Feb 2020 05:55 AM PST

The world is due for a recession and it seems like this virus is the catalyst and speeding up the process. All things considered, were probably at the start of the recession. Head over to r/supplychains to get an understanding of how bad our supply chains are being disrupted due to this virus.

How will the markets react? During a recession people tend to put money into safe havens like gold. Bitcoin and others have never been through a recession so I'm wondering if people will put money into bitcoin to hold its value? Price of gold went up big time yesterday and people are shorting the stock market. Just want to hear others beat attempts at a non bias perspective.

    Augur REP

    Posted: 23 Feb 2020 05:52 PM PST

I am continuing post my "Crypto of the Day", to help to promote discussion and ideas, and also to help myself and others learn more.

Clearly, no one can predict the future, and nothing here should be taken as financial advice. However, I am sure there are some valuable personal opinions out there, and there is definitely an entertainment value in reading stuff like this.

Regarding the crypto of the day, Augur REP, I am curious of the following...

    Currently selling at $13.86.

Please post if you have any financial predictions for this project for; the next month, the end of 2020, the end of 2021, the end of 2025. I know most of you avoid this part, and that is fine. It is near impossible to predict how numbers will play out within such a volatile market.

What percent of your portfolio is this project currently?

What should we all know, good, bad, and indifferent, about this project?

It seems people are likely to post the positive in each project, but please remember that critical insight is just as useful.
