In a single day, 3% of our funding goal has been reached for a block template validation service! Posted: 01 Feb 2020 11:15 PM PST Four days ago I posted on read.cash that Software Verde will be posting funding requests for individual features and improvements for Bitcoin Verde. Yesterday I made an announcement for one of those features: a block template validation service that will improve miner diversity by enabling miners to more safely mine with minority node implementations without risking orphaning via invalid blocks. We have already reached nearly $1,000 in a single day. That's absolutely amazing, and makes me optimistic that this kind of funding mechanism can work. To those that have donated, thank you! We will be publishing additional features ("issues") next week to provide more choices for funding. In the mean time, feel free to review the following development opportunities for Bitcoin Verde: [link] [comments]

Is https://notary.bitcoin.com/ down? Or defunct? Posted: 02 Feb 2020 01:02 AM PST When I try use it I get the error msg: "Something went wrong! Failure to register new document proof" [link] [comments]
Posted: 01 Feb 2020 04:53 PM PST Hello everyone, it's always the same problem: I receive an invoice telling me that I have to do a SEPA transfer with amount X to IBAN Y with reference Z. Until now I've used BitBill (bitbill.eu) for this but I'd like to find some alternatives. I don't want to prove my identity and I'd prefer not even having to register. I've already done my own research but found nothing. Can you help me, please? I'm new to Reddit but not to Bitcoin, so please forgive me if this is not the right place to ask. Kind regards, Manami0 [link] [comments]

Miners are free to change the rules however they like.. Posted: 01 Feb 2020 11:32 PM PST ..they can even double the max supply. But holders are free to walk away or initiate a fork. It's completely up to the majority of miners, but they have to bear the risks of their choices. Majority of miners redirecting newly minted coins is as dangerous as it gets. [link] [comments]
Bitcoin Cash - "the version without coercion" Posted: 01 Feb 2020 10:46 AM PST It has a nice ring to it. I'd like to keep it that way. Implementing a coercive coinbase tax (even if one calls it "a donation" which it isn't) - would make the resulting fork no longer Bitcoin Cash. Change my mind. :) [link] [comments]
