CoinMarketCap finally managed to calculate the DAI supply but... Posted: 26 Jan 2020 01:00 PM PST ...the volume on 1/16/2020 was $973M according to them. Their "adjusted volume" is really a joke just like "reported volume"! https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/multi-collateral-dai/historical-data/ [link] [comments]
Is it currently possible to create a lottery on Ethereum that can't be manipulated by miners? Posted: 26 Jan 2020 06:08 PM PST I know the concern of creating a lottery on Ethereum is that miners can manipulate blocks to cheat. Is there any way to prevent that so we can have provably fair lotteries on Ethereum? If not, how close are we to being able to achieve this? A provably fair lottery that takes little or no commission could be a killer app for the foreseeable future. Imagine the publicity if there was someone winning $1-10M every day on Ethereum. Coordinating that amount of money without any central authority would demonstrate the power of Ethereum and smart contracts. Let's start porting not only traditional finance but anything involving depositing money, to Ethereum. [link] [comments]

ELI5: Bonding Curve and Curated Markets Posted: 26 Jan 2020 06:40 PM PST Hello I have a couple of questions regarding Bonding Curve. I didn't want to go to the ELI5 subreddit since this seems to be a more relevant place . I am a bit of an amateur so apologies if these questions sound a bit shallow. - Are Curated Markets and Bonding Curves related concepts? I seem to seem the mentioned quite a lot together. - In a system where price of tokens is defined with a bonding curve, can token holders still exchange tokens between them? If yes, do they have to use the price of the bonding curve? What stops them for negotiating a new price between them? - If I wanted to make a curated list like Yelp using the curated market concept my understanding is that when someone wants to enter the list of best restaurants everyone votes, but the system rewards people who voted along the majority not people who voted with honesty. How does that lead to a more accurate list? Thank you for your time. I looked in the subreddit and couldn't find related questions, if I am wrong please feel free to point me to the right direction. Anyone working on MarketingDAO proposals? Posted: 25 Jan 2020 09:46 PM PST Seems like a good opportunity for both those who always wanted to promote the blockchain and ethereum as well. Surely interested in participating in this one. [link] [comments]
I typed "Eth 2.0" on Google to get some info... Posted: 26 Jan 2020 04:57 AM PST The first result I got is a "live video of Vitalik" on YouTube I was like "Wow I'm in luck, good timing!" Here is the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-hzBqSJS_Sc Are you aware about that? Beside the gross scam giveaway, everything else looks legit, name of the channel, number of subs, first google results, real interview of Vitalik. It's insane. [link] [comments]
