    Bitcoin 2020

    Posted: 23 Dec 2019 09:38 PM PST

This Christmas marks my 6th year in Bitcoin. This space is filled with such scum, I love it. It really feels like a virtual Mos Eisley. Given that we live in a pretty soulless time, btc is just such a key escape.

Anyway, may the story give us many new chapters in 2020.

    Happy Holidays!

Bitcoin wallets should offer "prioritize privacy' mode

    Posted: 23 Dec 2019 04:26 PM PST

That should change defaults from UX friendly to maximum privacy possible within given context. It should also hard restrict software from falling back to weaker behaviors if something isn't working.

It is important to not oversell the feature. It must not create a false impression of perfect privacy or anonymity.

In practice that would entail things like connecting via (ideally built-in) Tor (if not available - breaks with error), custom full node (if not set - requires to set one), as much as possible happens locally, do not send xpub/ypub/zpub over the network, no external block explorers, no cloud backups etc.

    Ledger Nano S Problem.

    Posted: 24 Dec 2019 02:32 AM PST

Hi has anyone experienced a problem logging into Ledger manager on Ledger Live App.

I have a problem that I can't seem to access the portfolio page and my account pages, when my device is connected and my pin has been input the new version now has a tick to click on the device yet when I click on it it doesn't open manager, or give me access to the other pages I mentioned.

All software updates done and fully up to date, has only been happening over the last two days.

Anyone else experiencing this issue and advice before I ask Ledger?.

    Posted: 23 Dec 2019 02:44 PM PST

I guess all of us expect Bitcoin to grow and really establish itself among the mainstream, but what would be possible factors that can make the whole descentralized currency project fail at this point?
