I see a lot of passive aggressive posts towards BCH and BTC from people I'm assuming support the other. Can someone give me some brief dot points on why someone who appreciates crypto can be so against one of these specifically?

    Posted: 23 Nov 2019 01:03 PM PST

I've been in the crypto space for awhile and the main argument I see is transaction prices for btc compared to BCH, but I'm assuming it can't be that simple considering people can be so opposed to one or the other.

Well most of the BCH daily volume is on Coinbase, but when the price goes way down Kraken buyers historically have the best dip buyers. over 20k in BCH bids to hit $180 on there.

This Week in Bitcoin Cash, November 17th - 23rd

I am not worried about the low BCH price at all, if anything I hope it will drop under 100 USD again so I can buy more. Here is why I am not worried.

    Posted: 23 Nov 2019 05:58 AM PST

Either Bitcoin has value or it has no value.

If it has no value eventually everything will drop close to zero and we all be like: well that was that, and move on.

If it has value than Bitcoin Cash has more because it works better and unlike Bitcoin is still actively being developed and improved.

It really is that simple. The reality is that BCH at 0.03 BTC helps with accumulating lots of BCH.

There is some risk that hashrate on BCH will get to low but big players like Roger Ver have made it abundantly clear that they are willing to burn through their own money to defend BCH. Roger Ver told me that they have more hashrate on standby to defend BCH with than during the BSV fork which means there is more than 4 exahash available that can be plugged in to power sockets to defend BCH if needed.

Next to that BCH has rolling checkpoints which are not ideal but a cheap solution that makes it a lot harder to defraud exchanges. This means that exchanges risk less with BCH which is good.

The current climate is still 99% about exchanges, which is why the rolling checkpoints are good although at a later point in time it might bite us in the ass. (we can always stop having them again)

BTC is pressure from above and BSV is pressure from below using the old tactic "Pressure from above and pressure from below"

It shows any rational investor where the danger for the old financial system is. That danger comes from BCH otherwise they would not be willing to burn through so much money and time and effort to be continuously attacking it.

If BCH is the one they are afraid of to disrupt the entire financial system than what is it's value?

A lot more than 200 USD per BCH I can tell you that.

Just spend and replace and try to save up some BCH for the future. (please use a cold wallet system and have your seeds backed up on paper) If you can get to 21 BCH I think you will be good for a long time to come. If Bitcoin has any value than I am 100% guaranteed that somebody with 21 BCH will have a better retirement than somebody that puts their money in their retirement fund.

Eventually the profits possible with BCH will corrupt those that have already been corrupted once before. The power that be decided to kill Bitcoin but then they realized they could profit from it. Now they no longer wanted to kill Bitcoin, they just wanted to control it. This is BTC. BCH undermines that control which is why BSV was created so BCH can be pressured from two sides at once and try to steal away as many valuable people as possible. Because what is money is in the mind, so the value from any crypto comes 100% from the people in the community that believe in it. The more valuable people you have in your community the more value your crypto has. Simply for the reason that you can have somebody so smart that he works out a way to go viral. Is this potential and the belief in it's potential that gives a crypto value.

So the powers that be no longer want to kill Bitcoin because now they profit, instead they want to control Bitcoin. This means Bitcoin has already corrupted them. We have seen this corruption at work when Ross Ulbricht was arrested. The CIA and the FBI don't give a rats ass about the selling of drugs. In fact it's a prefered method of the CIA to expand their own budget. What was really behind the arrest of Ross Ulbricht was the fact that there were FBI agents that got corrupted by Bitcoin. They saw that Ross had many Bitcoins and they wanted his Bitcoins. That's the main reason he got arrested. This is the corruption I am talking about. Bitcoin corrupts the powers that be as hard as the powers that be try to corrupt Bitcoin.

The same will happen with BCH, eventually they realize they can profit more with BCH than with BTC. Simply because speculative markets can now grow as big as money systems.

Eventually BCH is going to rapidly grow into a money system and the profits shift from speculative in to outcompeting existing money systems. This will be a second corruption that will get those that want to control to now support BCH.

It's possible that among those that want to control Bitcoin there are already some traitors to their own people that have realized that if they can keep the price of BCH as low as possible they can accumulate more and that if they can shift alliances and help flip the BTC/BCH price they can profit at the expense of their allies.

Shit that works just can't be stopped very easily and once the thought "this shit just works" reaches a critical mass ... well that's that.

I hope it takes another 10 years before BCH takes over BTC because that gives me 10 years to accumulate. Plus I still think Satoshi is going to show up one day again ... or at least somebody with access to the coins.

PSA: Volatility is Extreme Now For Two Reasons: Price is Mostly Function of Speculation and Small Market Size; As Market Increases and Price Becomes Based on Usage Volatility Will Lessen; A Problematic Reality for the BTC Roadmap Predicting BCH Inherently Becomes More Stable

    Posted: 23 Nov 2019 07:58 AM PST

My two biggest concerns for Bitcoin Cash are governance and price volatility. I expect both to become less a concern over time, but recent events compelled me to reconsider volatility with this realization. I've been meaning to write an article on strategies to deal with short-term volatility. Hopefully I have time to get one out. #ChinaBansBitcoinAgain
