Why is LTC lower in value than BTC when it is a much better BTC fork (even when adjusting for circulating supply)?

    Posted: 07 Oct 2019 03:53 AM PDT

After doing some research, I found out that litecoin is a fork of bitcoin created back in 2011, by Charlie Lee. I looked at the differences and as far as fees and confirmation time. Litecoin has a far lower confirmation times (1/4 that of BTC), and seems to do a better job at being P2P cash overall. I understand that Bitcoin has a branding to it (which makes a digital "gold" of sorts), but the price seems unjustified due to the scalability and confirmation time issues. I understand that LN has come out, but I don't see how it would raise the value of BTC by such an unprecedented amount. Can someone please explain?
